Coriander Girl

Deanna and the team at Coriander Girl absolutely rocked our wedding! I don't know a lot about flowers, and we know that creatives can do some of their best work when not constrained by boundaries, so we simply told them what colour palette we had in mind at our consult, and let them go wild. And boy, did they deliver! Our flowers were vibrant and gorgeous. The greenery on our tables and arch popped against the brick. Our only regret is that we forgot the boutonnieres in the event space fridge until an hour into dancing, so we don't have any photos of them! Oh, and the copper arch was also rented from them - great accent piece! Thanks Coriander Crew!

Found this shop online with beautiful floral arrangements available for $65. As flower availability fluctuates so much, I phoned first to ensure they could create arrangements with the flowers shown (ranunculus, anemones, etc.), with it also being winter and the day of Valentine's, which they confirmed. I was ordering on behalf of my Dad for my Mom, so I told them to flourish it a bit and increase to $80. When I received the bouquet, it was filled with carnations and chrysanthemums. After the shop was not responsive to swapping out the flowers that are typically considered "grocery store bouquet" flowers, I took the arrangement to a florist around the corner from my office to fix. At that point, a presentable bouquet really mattered more than the money... especially on Valentine's day of all days. They told me since it's one of the busiest days of the year, that I should write the shop to ensure the owner knew what was going out their door as they must have not seen it. The response back from the shop was that they reevaluated and undercharged for the flowers. It should have been $90! For carnations! What is incredibly disheartening about this unfortunate event, is reading this shop's responses on reviews below and seeing that they themselves called what they sold me for $90 "grocery store flowers", and that they used them for bouquets to get the price under $35. Gorgeous website, and heartfelt story in the "about us" section, but so terribly dispiriting to read their true views on what they sold to me below.

Beautiful flower shop tucked away in the Dufferin and Queen area. You can purchase a wide variety of floral arrangements here and chose your own vase. Quality and friendly service done in convenient time. Highly recommend this shop in a cute area.

My 12-month flower subscription hasn't failed to impress. The ladies at Coriander Girl have impeccable taste and are an absolute joy to talk to. Their arrangements are the best in the city, and they are always willing to accommodate special requests. Can't wait for my next delivery!

Coriander Girl is hands down the best florist in Toronto. Their arrangements are stunning, and they have excellent customer service. I have done my wedding through them, and have received numerous bouquets over the past few years, and couldn't be happier with the quality of work they do.
