Size: Five log cabins, three lodge condo suites, six lodge motel rooms, and a four-bedroom log house

Facilities: Restaurant, hot tubs

Recreation: Nordic ski and snowshoe trails at the resort; Cooper Spur ski area is 2½ miles away for downhill skiing and tubing; also offers discounted lift tickets for Mt. Hood Meadows which is just 12 miles away.

Access: 23 miles south of Hood River, 2½ miles east of Oregon 35

History: The resort began as an 1894 homestead on private land; it was converted to a modern resort beginning in the 1970s. Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort bought the inn in 2001 and has remodeled guest rooms, improved the hot tub area and upgraded the restaurant to the new Crooked Tree Tavern & Grill.

Super cute lodge with tons of history! I loved our cabin, super rustic. The food in the tavern was all handmade and delicious. You gotta try the French Dip. It just melts in your mouth. Definitely will be returning. And they do weddings! How perfect would that be!

This place was great. Clean, comfortable, plenty of room for the entire family and friendly staff. Our kids loved having the fresh goodies delivered to our door for breakfast each morning. We will be back!

Overall decent experience. We had cabin number 3. The front desk lady was the most accommodating amongst a generally argumentative staff. I feel it's extremely overpriced with the cleanliness level and condition of the furniture. The couch was super uncomfortable was completely misshapen. Also the carpet had huge tears in it, the bathroom had black hair on the floor, obvious spots of dirt as well, and long white dog hair on the back of the door and all over the entire cabin. (these are in the pictures) They overcharged us an incredible amount for supposedly smoking in the room. When we told them we did not, and asked why they thought so I was informed they could smell smoke on blankets or pillows. But that the people who made these accusations were no longer working at the time and they were going to have to get back to me in a couple days which they never did. Not a very scientific method especially when people are smoking with the doors open all over the place, including my husband. I personally don't smoke cigarettes and had children with us.... So I'm very offended that not only did they not believe me that we didn't smoke inside, but continue to say it was a legitimate charge because they could smell it on a blanket . To further insult me when I gave them my other complaints on the rooms condition and informing them my children were injured by the fireplace grate that is not attached to anything and fell on my kids pushing them into the coffee table I was surprised and they continue to push about this ridiculous smell that we didn't cause. On a lighter note I was extremely pleased that somebody at the restaurant was able to pull together an organic meal for multiple. Again it was overpriced but decent. The cabin had normal amenities a kitchen Wood Ave a full bath and a half bath with 4 tiny beds upstairs in the loft two larger beds in the two rooms downstairs ... terribly uncomfortable beds and furniture. I was glad to see the ad cable and board games tomorrow in the office. There's a front and back door that lead to either a bigger Lodge or a hot tub area.

Attended for a family wedding. Accomodations were nice. Bartender was rude at the event, however, otherwise would have given 5 stars.

We stayed in the one bedroom lodge. We were there to ski at Mt Hood Meadows. It was very cozy and pretty convenient, though the shuttle to Meadows had to be arranged the evening before taking it difficult to actually arrange. The cabin did not have enough cooking utensils or towels, so we had to ask for extra before we settled in. Very nice, though pretty pricey for the amenities and service.
