Coho campground is located in the Olympic National Forest on the west shore of Wynoochee Lake. As part of the emerald paradise which is the Olympic National Forest. The campground has 44 regular campsites to accommodate tents, trailers, & RVs up to 36'. It also has 2 group sites that can accommodate 12 to 16 people, Also has 3 heated yurts. They have flush toilets & drinking water & trash containers. RV dump station nearby & has a boat launch near also. Restrooms: Clean restrooms & flush toilets
Beautifully kept grounds. Excellent campground hosts as well. Yurt was awesome! Only explored about 1.5 miles of the 16 mile long hiking trail / fishing spots. Lot of blow-down from the recent windstorms/rain though. Highly reccomend this spot.
FAVORITE campground. love this place. I'd even want to get married here! it's so gorgeous! the campsites are well maintained, the yurts are amazing, and the staff is fantastic! only thing I have a mild complaint about is the bathrooms. the janitorial is fine, there's usually toilet paper and paper towels, but it looks like there might be some black mold growing, particularly in the one by the yurts. fantastic place to camp!
We ABSOLUTELY loved our time at Coho campground. Our campsite was pretty private, clean and beautiful! Our kids and dog were able to explore our surroundings without seeing other people. The bathrooms were light at night and very clean. The host was wonderful. He came by each campsite to hand out candy to our kids and welcomed us to Coho then left us alone for the rest of our stay. The lake was BEAUTIFUL and clean with the most amazing views. The trails are wonderful also! We will definitely be back every summer!
My favorite campground for last minute camping trips. The lake is easy to drive to, and the scenery along the way is beautiful. Campsites and restrooms were clean.
A gem of a federal campground. Reminds me of how camping was in the 80s and 90s. No cell service and a good 40-60 min drive 1 way from facilities so be sure to stock up and gas up. Tons of water opportunities and local trail circumnavigates the lake. A loop is first come first serve, B loop is reservations, and last loop is walk in camping / yurts. Had an incredible time here and looking forwards to more great memories ahead. Overall uplifting / kind campground vibe.
Great Campground. Lots of insects and poor beaches gets a point dropped. Views are awesome! Lots of forest access and hikes near by.
We had a wonderful stay here! We lucked out with a first come first serve but by the looks of the other loop, these are HARD to come by so you might be safer looking ahead for a reservation. The bathrooms were SO CLEAN! People were friendly! Lots of places to ride bikes, boat, and swim plus a few beautiful waterfalls nearby.
Campground was fully booked but didn't feel busy/packed at all. Ice was available for purchase and was cheap at $3.50 a bag while bundles of firewood was also cheap and affordable at $5 a bundle. The main trail around the lake was a bit too long for us but it was still enjoyable to hike about 3 miles each direction. The beach is pretty rocky you will absolutely want shoes of some kind for swimming
Campground is nice and has pretty good privacy between sites, water and trash cans readily available. Campground is busy even midweek, it stayed full almost every day. We stayed for 14 days and there may have been one or two days with any open sites. Wynoochee lake and the day use area were great, really nice swiming area. The main reason for my lower rating is that the bathrooms were horrible, particularly the toilets. Toilets in both men's and women's restroom took 15 - 30 seconds of holding the flush button to maybe flush. Although the floor of bathroom was cleaned and toilet paper stocked, it didn't look as if the toilets were ever cleaned. I would stay here again but restrooms were a definite drawback.
