Coastal Inn Halifax

Had fun! Price was super super good! Staff was very friendly, super nice. Pool was clean and well maintained. Rooms were clean and had everything to accommodate you. Breakfast buffet wasn't that amazing, I've seen better buffets but it was free so no complaints and you could rent movies for free from the hotel. Also pet friendly! Close to a few restaurants fast foods and stores! Definitely will return! :)

Room was ok. Shower was terrible, the water hardly even trickled out. Breakfast was terrible with no selection for anyone who likes to eat healthy or even real food. I couldn’t even find milk and since I am not 5 years old a breakfast of sugary muffins and sugary cereal doesn’t appeal to me. The breakfast room was very small with limited seating. The exercise room was a joke. Only 3 pieces of equipment and 2 of them didn’t even work. They had a weight bench, but no weights and no fans in the room so it felt like a sauna. Was overpriced for that they offer.

The people at the desk are very nice and friendly. The room was clean and the frig, microwave, sink and coffee maker was great to have in your room.

Room was well equipped. Beds were very comfy. And the hotel is right nextdoor to a tims/wendys

Mum and I stayed at the Coastal Inn, Halifax, while in the city for a family reunion. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast nook was nice BUT the non-smoking policy is not adhered to. I saw one sign by the front desk declaring the Inn as non-smoking. The morning of the reunion, mum and I step onto the elevator and we are suddenly engulfed in cigarette smoke that was left behind on an empty elevator. To prevent an asthma attack, I quickly reach for something to prevent more smoke going into my lungs but it was too late. By the time we reached our room I needed my puffer. Running out of time, we went to the drug store. I had to get an emergency puffer costing us $42.00. By the time I got the medication I had no voice because I couldn't get enough air into my lungs. All this for what? For someone to have a cigarette in a hotel with a non-smoking policy. We informed the woman at the front desk what happened but all I heard were excuses, there was no apology. I suggest posting more signs around the hotel reminding guests of the non-smoking policy. This suggestion would be better than another guest or staff member experiencing what I had to go through.
