I was looking for a 1 bedroom apartment and from the moment I contacted the office I was provided with excellent customer service. My virtual appointment was booked promptly and any changes that I needed were delt with in a timely manner. Once I viewed the apartment, application process was seamless and straightforward. The leasing agent answered all my questions and was very kind. I am extremely happy with apartment, the building, and the team behind CLv group. I just want to extend a big thank you for all your great work!
My husband and I moved to Toronto a few weeks ago, and finding a beautiful home was a no brainer thanks to Anna’s help! She was so kind to us from the very beginning. She gave us a few options to choose from and the whole process from the moment we picked our apartment, and until we moved in was super fast! She is someone who will go above and beyond for her clients! We have been living in our new apartment for 2 weeks and we absolutely love it! It is so clean and modern, exactly what we were looking for! The neighborhood is nice and calm. We also really appreciate the welcoming neighbors, as well as the pet friendly environment! The first floor is going through some renovations so it is going to look even better than it already does! Our experience with Anna and CLV has been nothing but wonderful!
CLV are very professional managing buildings, their team are so helpful & supportive. I checked several apartments under their management & all were up to the standards, special thanks to Kim Campbell-Community Leasing Agent- who supported me during my search & ease all needed agreements in no time. Terrible application experience. Always read the fine print with these people, there were constant red flags every step of the way. Don't give them an application deposit unless you're prepared to lose it or as I had to do threaten to take them to court. Once you give them a deposit and sign the application, they will try to gaslight you into thinking you're financially responsible for them renting their own property out if you don't like the final lease. They wanted to charge me a 300$ "admin fee" and also pro-rate me for the first month of rent if they couldn't find someone else to sign their lease. I had wanted to see a lease copy before signing over the deposit, but they said that was not possible but not to worry as it was just a standard lease form. Of course once the application was accepted and they sent out the actual lease it was not standard. It had additional clauses which we had not been made aware of before handing over the deposit. This included the actual price of the apartment being higher than advertised with a 2% discount on rent paid on time bringing it to the advertised price, but with small print saying that 2% discount could be taken away at the sole discretion of the landlord along with some other items. I let them know the lease wasn't standard and there were clauses in it, along with my application experience so far, that made me unwilling to rent the apartment any longer. I let them know early enough that they still had a complete month to find another tenant. Yet they still tried to keep my deposit and I only got my money back after multiple calls, e-mails and threats to take legal action. Beware these people, always read the fine print with them. Also to CLV directly: rental applicants are not financially responsible for the rental income of your own properties. YOU are. Welcome to the cost of doing business as a property management company!
My move-in experience with the team at Forest Ridge by CLV Group was incredibly positive. Due to an unfortunate tragedy I needed an emergency lease prepared, the staff went above and beyond to make the move-in possible within 2 days. Everyone involved was incredibly nice and they all contributed to a rather positive experience despite the situation I was in. The staff running this property are very compassionate and deserve every praise possible. Thank you CLV Group :
I have been a tenant for 10 years now at 25 Kappele Circle and I would like to thank John for the exceptional service he so willingly gives us. He does an excellent job of keeping the parking lot and walkways free of snow in the winter months. Also, in the summer months, keeps the landscape around the building nicely manicured. His wife, Sheila does a fantastic job of keeping the inside public areas clean. Thank you both for your services,
Have lived at 1196 Shillington ave. since December 2021. Apart from being old, the unit isn’t that bad, but CLV itself is awful to deal with. You cannot control the heat in the units - they do, so I always have to start my ac unit early and bite the bullet on the additional hydro charges because the open windows don't cut it. I sent in a maintenance request in October 2022 for a leaky gasket in my bathtub, even followed up to their admin email in December but have not received any response. They have changed their payment system twice since I’ve moved in, and now refuse to accept anything but payments on their portal which was faulty and caused a large headache to sort out paying rent this month. I was told my rent increased but never received a notice they said they mailed it?, and they stopped honouring the 2% discount with no warning so now I owe them more than I agreed to in my lease.. after trying 3 times I did not receive any response back from the admin team via email - nor could I reach them by phone. The responses I did get were missing info and I had to repeat my questions many times to get answers. Glad I am leaving this overpriced apartment, save your time and frustration and look elsewhere.
Working with Autumn was one of the easiest and best experiences I have had working with someone selling a house/apartment. The building was lovely and everyone we have worked with was so nice! 10/10 experience, would recommend!
Dealing with CLV Group and especially with Kim Campbell was the most pleasant renting experience. Kim is the most professional and polite renting agent we had the chance to work with. Other than a very primitive resident portal to place work orders and the like the organization has absolutely awful customer service and a track record of ignoring its residents. Over a 3 weekday period I tried calling their customer support line over 30 times. On the 1st day, I connected with a rep who said they'd email me what I was looking for, still nothing. On the 3rd day, trying alternate numbers, I connected with a rep. responsible for a given location who had no ability in internally transfering me. Appearing to me like their customer support team is unsupported. During my tenancy 218 Maclaren, Ottawa I had recurring issues with running water, the hinge on my weighted apartment door was broken and the work order didnt fix it, a serious fire hazard especially for someone with low mobility. Not to mention armed w my void cheque they tried auto withdrawing my rent, despite me specifically saying not to. Causing me to double pay a month, and it took a month before I saw that money again and I had to go pick up a physical check.
