Cleveland Veterans Administration Hospital

This VA hospital has a reputation for treating veterans poorly. Unfortunately, we happened to be in the area where my husband had a dental emergency and needed to be seen asap. We called and were told to register first through the Painesville clinic because we're from out of state. So we registered there and came up to this hospital the next day. The man at the front desk said our info wasn't put in right to receive care and advised we check with the eligibility office. Now this is where the experience gets real nasty...before my husband even had a chance to say "yes I have service connected dental disability" she glanced at his file and told him, "NO, NOPE. You can't be seen here." "We're gonna send YOU a giant bill if you get seen HERE." He tried to explain how he goes to the VA dental clinic in our home state no problem but she cut him off, "No, no, we won't see you HERE." ....?? At that point you realize there's no way you're going to get through to them, she just wanted to argue (for some unknown reason), so we left. Why does someone so volatile work with our veterans?... Thanks Cleveland VA! Reminds me why I moved out of this area. No thanks!

This place is amazing. Very efficient. Very pleasant staff. Much much much better than ths cancer center we were going to.

This VA is so damn slow. Sat in the waiting area for 2 hours before being put in a room, then I was in the room for 2 hours before I had to confront a nurse to be seen. This hospital is a joke. It's terrible to think this is the healthcare we risk our lives for.
