Cleveland Clinic - Family Health Center Lakewood

I have been going here for 3 years I have NEVER been able to contact my doctor. I have NEVER talked to him on the phone. The nurse has called me back once. I've called the office 6 times in 3 years. I've found out things to avoid while on medication from friends because the doctor NEVER TOLD ME until i asked him about it. I receive a ultra sound from another hospital they found something and told me if it starts to hurt tell my doctor I did he said it was nothing and it would go away in a couple of weeks. That was over a year ago and the problem persists. I have been trying to find another doctor but each medical professional I go to tells me to keep going there.

I was surprised to see negative reviews since I have had excellent customer service here from both the front desk staff and the doctors. I have been a patient there for years and never had a bad experience. They try hard to give you a same day appt when you are sick and the nurse I spoke with recently when I had a question was very helpful

Every time I go here the front desk staff is nice enough but the doctor is short, will not listen to any problems and forms her own opinion on what is going on versus actually listening. I ALWAYS have to call them back to remind them to refill my prescriptions right after I had an appointment to do just that process. I say close it all down, Lakewood Hospital is just as bad if not worse. I had to wear a heart monitor as they thought I was having issues and once I turned it in they had me rush to the nearest cardiologist the very next morning stating it was imperative I get there ASAP. After going in the very next morning worried and exhausted from not sleeping I was told by the cardiologist that they had read the results all wrong and if their interpretation was correct I should have been dead at least 5 times while I was wearing the monitor. Save yourself some worrying and take the extra drive to the newer clinic in Avon, I cannot tell you how efficient, polite, and professional the whole staff is at making you feel like you matter and they listen to your concerns.

First time visitor at this facility, unfriendly and disinterested staff. The only reason I came to the facility is that we love Dr. Hekman. Not a welcoming environment at all.

If I could give less stars I would. Don't go. If you try you one, won't get seen or two, won't get seen at any time you actually need. Once you're seen, the doctors are patronizing and always in a hurry, as if I'm an inconvenience. I've seen three of them there too! The front staff is horribly rude and unfriedly. I don't understand how these people can be associated with Cleveland clinic, speaking from a perspective of an employee there myself at the main hospital.
