Now this is a burger place! I would say the best burgers in Western Canada. A very eclectic place, almost from the 70’s I don’t think they have renovated. The burgers are done with style, and they are excellent. The different options for loaded fries are fantastic. This is a world class, retro burger joint, hidden in Calgary. The beer menu is also very well done.
Pretty great burgers! I got them 3 times now, twice without salt and once with salt and I definitely prefer the patty without salt but that’s my preference. Fries are okay, pretty dense and dry, quite disappointing to be honest. I did a take out order as the dine in is always super busy, rightfully so! Great place, give it a try, but pretty sure everyone in the city and their mother have been here already!
The Nashville Hot Cod may be the best piece of fried fish I've had in Calgary, let alone the best fish sandwich.nnWe stopped by before the dinner rush at the recommendation of a friend, was delighted by the entire experience!nPerfectly seasoned and crispy fried cod, amazingly fresh and crisp pickled onions, and a tangy tar tar sauce all packed in soft sesame seed bun. I cannot stop thinking about this sandwich!!!!nnThe super duper fries were an excellent side and the vibe of the place is nostalgic to the ninth degree. The prices were also very affordable! I will be back as soon as I possibly can!nnHIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING A RESERVATION OR GOING ON THEIR WAIT LIST. We were very lucky to get a seat at all when we arrived! Either go during off-times or plan ahead!!
We had an absolutely wonderful meal here! We had gone to the zoo and wanted to get some hamburgers after, so before leaving the zoo I looked at the class clown website and noticed they had an online waiting list, pretty cool!nI entered our names and the wait time matched around when we would be there.nWhen we arrived, we had to wait another 10 minutes and we got our seat.nNone of us were that hungry to begin with, but when the burgers and fries came out, OMG, this is a GREAT burger. Everything was perfect from the buns, burgers, fries, etc. We all loved it!

The patty was juicy, the toppings were fresh, and the bun had just the right amount of softness to hold it all together. The fries were crispy and golden—exactly how crinkle-cut should be.nnThe ambience gives you an old-school diner vibe, with warm wood paneling and a laid-back, nostalgic feel. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back, enjoy a great meal, and soak in the retro charm.nnThey also have a decent beverage menu, including natural wines, which is a unique touch for a burger joint. Whether you’re looking for a casual bite or a fun spot to hang out, Class Clown is definitely one of my top burger places in Calgary. Highly recommend!
