City Jake's Cafe

City Jake's is definitely a cute local spot. It's been around awhile, and Jake is the one preparing your food. Walk right in, order, and in no time, it'll be up. This is the type of place your all American hard working folks would stop in to grab a good, decently priced hot diner meal. Nothing fancy here, just easy peasy. In & out. Check it out for a yummy breakfast or lunch- locals style. I am always for supporting hardworking hometown people!

My wife and I were in Springfield and saw the positive reviews on the restaurant, so we gave it a shot. It was really good. Both of had the breakfast sandwiches on English muffins w/ side of potatoes. We are definitely coming back here.

Place has very good food but the wife in the front is rude and I Believe she has a hint of rasicim notice she treats the white people nicer but when a black or brown person ask her question she responds it’s right there in the menu read it. Very sarcastic I hope she don’t catch me ona wrong day cause it be a day In hell. Her husband the cook and his hands are amazing cause he cooks breakfast very good. Parking: No parking got to be quick

Best breakfast in Springfield!! The staff make you feel welcome, Jake is a wonderful chef who's always friendly & makes sure you are satisfied with your food/meal. Lovely place highly recommend.

Gave this place a try cause of the reviews and let me tell you.. BEST BREAKFAST EVERRRR! Definitely worth the wait. My new spot! I definitely will be back.

Seems a good place. Got the Ruben and something called a egg/olive. Ok. Assume a local taste. Ruben was good. Wife got a chef salad.

French toast, home fries and bacon with a side of OJ !

Awesome breakfast - food was really good and flavorful. The menu had lots of options and the prices were excellent too!
