City Cafe Bakery, Kitchener, Lancaster St.

I don't even know why I ever bother trying bagels from other chain establishments, City Cafe Bakery's are the absolute best. The staff are always friendly - especially the Saturday morning baker at the Lancaster location. Get their early for got, fresh, delicious bagels and local coffee. I truly appreciate that they also pay their employees a living wage.

I went in for the first time because I heard their pizza was amazing! I didn't know they do not take debit here, as that's all I ever have on me. The staff was so kind, they told me to just pay them back next time I come! I couldn't believe it, I said really? I can leave something until the next time I'm back just for assurance, and they kindly told me they trust their clients. Well! If that didn't make me a lifetime customer, I don't know what will. I came back, paid them and tipped them as they certainly deserve it! Will come back again and again!

Went in today for a dozen butter scones. They took them off the menu in favour of the super SUGARY berry and pineapple scones. NOT everyone wants to ply their bodies with sugar and baked friut all the time. They cant say they weren't popular because I had to make sure I got there in time before they were all sold out! Not going back. I'm sick of businesses changing things that the public loves. That's why you're in business anyway - to give the public what they want.

Good coffee. Good quality baked products. Local. Friendly staff. However, and because of the location for me this is a show stopper, next to no parking available in a location which is out of the way to walk to. A serious irritant as there are no legal parking alternatives nearby. If not for that it would be five stars.

It is always a present place to come. The food is good and amazing fair trade coffee. Everything is all for a good cause. I been coming here for a long time and ill not stop coming. Thank you for delicious fresh bakery food all the time
