Story

We are an artisan bakery located in Waterloo, Ontario. Our bakery started in 1989 and has its roots in the European art of baking. We are focusing on crafting good tasting breads without all the added junk, you find unfortunately in a lot of commercial bread. We offer a variety of breads with alternative grains; we also have a division called Circle of Life fully dedicated to wheat free and gluten free baking.

Good European style bakery. Lots of buns, and their pretzels are good. Dessert offerings meh. Carries gluten free offerings, not made on site so more shelf stable gf baked and dried goods. Service friendly. Quarters a bit tight if you go at popular times.

It saddens me to have to write this, however I think people should know that the owner (I can only assume she was part of the ownership group) literally followed me into my appointment today at a neighbouring clinic in the same strip mall and yelled at me for parking in front of her storefront, blamed the clinic staff for causing congestion in the parking lot (which was not accurate) and proceeded to tell me I had to move my car. She watched me struggle to put my boots back on (I’m 9 months pregnant) to make sure I was coming with her to move my car and proceeded to tell me she wasn’t sorry. She made the entire clinic - staff and patients - incredibly uncomfortable. Not to mention, what kind of person does this to a woman who is very pregnant?? I will never forget this incident nor will I ever support this business again.

Great pretzels, bagels and breads. Made there. Friendly. Good selection of baked goods. Quality. Locally owned. I wish they were in Burlington.
