Fries were hot but wife's portion was warm. Service was A+++. That younger girl that serviced us was always on top of it. To be fair we were the only table but even if we weren't she probably would have taken care of us. The place was super hard to find. They have child chairs for my little one. The price was a little expensive for what was delivered but considering it's Whistler everything is kind of expensive. Sept 2023
Peak Ski Season Friday Evening: For the price point of this venue, I was disappointed at how neglected our order was placed and the speed at which it was brought to our table. I haven't received service this slow at any place in the world, and that is something I don't like to write about any place I review. Sitting at the dinner section of Cinnamon Bear Grille on a Friday night during peak Ski season in February. The ambience feels high end, bustling, lots of different events happening around the same space, with a live piano player serenading everyone who walks through the Hilton. The bar next door is packed, while the dinner area is much quieter, moreso a space for families. Upon ordering, it took an hour to get our starters and an additional 45 minutes to get main dishes. This was pure torture, as we watched multiple plates of nachos and chicken wings being zoomed past us into the pub at lightning speeds. The convention happening across from the restaurant was also getting their orders rushed through, all while my crew of 6 sat patiently watching every other table eat. Even getting our drinks took an eternity by any dining standards. Once our order came, I can say that the food though is delicious and very well prepared. Their beef dishes are definitely their specialty, cooked to perfection. Also, the fondue is every table's staple for when they dine here.
We thought we'd give the restaurant a try while staying at the Hilton. The food was way beyond our expectations. We had a variety of their bowls, burgers, wings, caesar salad gauc and charred corn with tortilla chips, handhelds, and pasta over 2 meals and everything was amazing. Apparently it's a new menu and I'd say they hit it out of the park. Mixed cocktails were decent. Servers were great and friendly. The only complaints is that add-ons like yam fries $6, tofu $8, etc. are pretty overpriced even if they are pretty good.
We are still hwre but felt like giving review to the guys at Cinnamon Bear. Taylor served us for dinner and a Filipino server was so nice during breakfast. Their service are 5*. Smiling, helpful, and very attentive. I almost did not avail for the eat all you can breakfast because of the other reviews, but when I saw it, its all worth it! Look at the photos and you can tell all the fresh foods that they have. We love Hilton, we love Cinnamon bear!
Absolutely love coming to CBB. As a local, this is my fav place to go. Their happy hour 10-11pm every night is the best in the village. Shout out to Xavier and the team for always being so welcoming and attentive!Food: 5/5
Restaurant area. The place is a bit old and slightly messy. short staffed. The food has very well defined flavors and the dishes, in general, are very well done, not so well presented, but for their taste, it doesn't matter. The cocktails are very very bad, so it would be better to ask for wines or other not mixed.
Xavier was an amazing server. Such a kind and hospitable person that made us feel instantly welcomed. We would definitely come back just because of himFood: 5/5
The staff was great! High energy and showed genuine concern towards the customer experience. I was a little disappointed with the food. It was good, not great. There wasn't much to my chicken entree to consider it a "meal" as it was a chicken breast with 3 pieces of asparagus and a dry piece of cornbread. My wife had the salmon which was a decent sized meal and was good overall but the salmon was under seasoned. I'll admit I'm being a bit picky but I expected a higher standard from them. Again... I would give them another shot based solely on the staff creating a pleasant atmosphere and maybe they were understaffed in the kitchen. We hear a lot about labour shortages these days.
Came in for a short visit. Played a round of pool with same mates. Had a couple hot wings. Top notch. Xav was efficient and was knowledgeable on the menu. Will be back!Food: 5/5
Been coming here for 4 months, best bar for locals in the village by far!!! First class service by Joe behind the bar and Xavier on the Floor!! Will definitely be coming back and referring to all my friends
