Do not hesitate, take the plunge All I did was inquire about the server's personal preference, not realizing that they were a seasoned gourmet. : If you're seeking to experience a place where you'll truly appreciate the art of dining like never before, this is an absolute must-visit destination. It rekindled my passion for the culinary arts. An unforgettable gastronomic festival.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent, and the staff frequently checked in on us, ensuring our needs were met. The food was delightful, and I had the pleasure of experiencing both their happy hour and dinner offerings. The restaurant's proximity to the vodka ice room was a nice touch. The seating was comfortable and provided a peaceful atmosphere. During my visit, I indulged in their 3-course lobster and oyster meal. The soup was a tad salty, but the dessert was a standout, truly the best part of the meal. All in all, the prices were reasonable, making this a great dining choice.
The Vodka Room at the Bearfoot Bistro is an an experience you have to try at least once in your life. You will be given a heavy down parka to don before entering the room and for good reason, the room is made of solid ice and at the time of my visit, -29°C in temperature. We got to choose 4 different vodkas of our choosing. It’s a vast collection from all over the world. They had sweet fruity ones like mango and apple, to full on strong ones from who knows where. The shots were generous and instantly warming. It was a short time slot, but just the right amount of time and lots of photo opportunities. The server was very charming, friendly and very accommodating in helping us take photos and not rushing us at all.
Beautiful place to go for a nice romantic dinner. Food was fabulous, service was quick. Drinks are very tasty, 1st place that a bartender pulled off a correct and properly layered New York Sour See Pic for me so kudos to that person! Also highly recommend doing the Ice room, so worth the exp and $$. Overall Fantastic night and worth the $$$ spent. *Only knock is, if your going to charge $8 for 3 pcs of bread please make it high quality. Other high end places that I frequent And not charged for always has exceptionally tasting fresh bread.
An experience matched only by the food! The wedding party we were with got the privilege of dining in the cellar and it was all beyond our wildest expectations. Our host did not miss a beat. He had drinks poured for us immediately, he explained every drink in detail, he was hospitable, he even got our toddler daughter some colouring pages and crayons. Near the end of a long night, he offered to put together a sleeping station for her if we wanted to stay longer. We declined, but what a lovely consideration to propose to two parents and their child after a LONG day of festivities. The atmosphere was unlike anything I've experienced. 12,000ish bottles on the wall, some prices in the tens of thousands. We got to saber cut off prosecco corks. We played a casual game during our dinner, which helped the group get to know one another. Not a detail was missed. Couldn't say enough good things about Bearfoot Bistro. Kid-friendliness: Our host got our daughter colouring pages and crayons upon arrival and, because we were there with a group for many hours, long into the night, he even offered to set up a sleeping station for her. Exceptional care of ALL guests.
Have the chefs table tasting menu. Seriously, just do it. Trust them. They know what they're doing. Not a single element was out of place or poorly presented. And yes, they have an extensive cellar to meet all tastes and profiles allowing them to pair the food beautifully with wines from around the world. Bring friends, eat, laugh, enjoy this moment to share.
Great spot to enjoy an after dinner drink. Bartenders are fun and helpful. We wanted to go into the Kettel One tasting room even though we didn't have a reservation and they were able to accommodate us. It was a great experience thanks to Riley, our server. We even paid for our adult daughter and her friend to go in after we'd been. They accommodated them too, and they had a great time with Riley as well. We will definitely be back!
I am so impressed with this place. Just wowed at every opportunity. We came here on a whim to get away from the city and I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing and service was excellent. I wouldn't consider myself a picky eater but I did work in the kitchen and hospitality for almost 10 years. I have a slight lactose sensitivity and they have been extremely accommodating. This dining experience was definitely very experiential. Well worth the money. I highly recommend this restaurant for all diners! Big shout out to the kitchen staff and our server Ronni, she did an absolute stunning job.
A lovely restaurant in a great location with fresh food, lovely presentation & uniquely flavorful dishes. The lemon dessert was fantastic! The wine cellar tour downstairs was a nice touch as well. Our server however, Olga I believe, was openly coming onto my long time partner & completely disregarded me...it was awkward to say the least, A definite 1st and last there.
That was one of my favourite places to go in Whistler. The Vodka room is a must-go. I went after my skiing, AMAZING. I loved it so much hence decided to go again the next day. The staff is very nice. They have really good portions of food. Good happy hour options.
