Great wings and a nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating was available as well. Ask the bartender about four shots and a ski. The iced tea, was a little on the not so good side. Other than that it was very good.
Great atmosphere, was really great being seated outside on Church Street. Good drink selection too. However the food was embarrassing. Pictured is the $15 chicken teriyaki sandwich fries or onion rings are an additional $3 making it $18. The super dry piece of chicken barely took up half of bun. We were in Burlington for 4 days and enjoyed every meal except this one - I'd definitely pass for food here.
We ended up here as none of us felt like waiting at other places. The girl seating people was really friendly and got us a table outside. The atmosphere is great. People watching and just enjoying being outside. Our server was attentive and solid. Our drinks came super quick and I loved the beer I got. So far five stars. However, it took 45 minutes to get our food and things around had died down so wasn’t crazy busy to justify the wait. We are patient though so no big deal. The food…just ok. Nothing stood out. Overall I think four stars is fair since I can’t say we had a bad meal. It just wasn’t great or memorable. If back down in that area I would more than likely try somewhere else.
Fantastic spot! We were a group of out of towners who came here for lunch and to watch some football. Everything as great. Gabe our server was phenomenal and just a really great guy. Will be back on the next visit!
We stopped in for drinks and apps. Great option off the main pedestrian walkway. Food was good, but we'd only really stopped for a mid-afternoon break. Drinks were good, staff was friendly and attentive. It was quiet Sunday afternoon, and it was not busy.
The hostess was very nice, however, the food was not. The Tavern Burger was flavorless and greasy, left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered the vegetable side corn cooked with peppers and onions and it came out partially raw and distinctly unpleasant. When I asked to exchange the side due to the uncooked nature of the food, our server was begrudging and the opposite of solicitous. Plus, fries are not included in a burger meal. Would not recommend and we wish we hadn’t eaten there.
I was very happy with the visit to the historic church street marketplace and the stop at the Tavern did not disappoint. I enjoyed the patio weather and the sights. The service was friendly and fast most of the time. I did have to go in to pay as the waitress was busy eating her lunch inside even though I had requested the bill 10 minutes before, which was annoying. The food was decent for pub fare. Wings, salad and a wrap were ordered and enjoyed. The bloody Mary was not very good to be honest, but it was well presented. Overall I'd stop by again.
Service was amazing ! food portions were huge, beer selection was great, and server Ian knew area well, guided us on awesome places to visit. Definitely a plus and will be becoming back !
COVID: They have a good outdoor space but the heaters DO NOT work. Expect to eat in the cold. Other then that all the staff were friendly and wearing their mask. 5/5 RATING Food: Roasted Garlic Mushrooms- Delicious but probably the only good thing I tasted from this place. Pictured Nachos- Plain and very plain. Could def be better. Pictured Chicken Teriyaki Philly Sandwich- Did not do it for me. I wasn't expecting something out of this world but chicken was pretty subpar. Pictured French Onion Soup- Did not have it but took a picture of it. Friend said it was ok. Pictured
We were seated promptly in an upstairs spot and received excellent service from Jill. Diverse tavern menu and lots of beer, wine and cocktails to choose from. Food came quickly and tasted great with good portion sizes. Many tvs tuned into various games and a vibrant sceene.
