Anchor Bar Burlington

My friend told me this was his favourite place to get wings. It was pretty good. It doesn't beat my favourite place, but definitely has delicious wings! The price for wings was pretty expensive but they tasted great. The patio was really nice, there were TV'S and also some misting machines for when it is super hot out. The service was great and the waiter was very friendly.

It was pretty quiet on a Friday evening and there seemed to be a few locals at the bar. We ordered drinks but no more raspberry margarita I guess, I am asked for a plain margarita and there was some confusion with her calling it a daiquiri so I went without to be safe. We had the platter with 3 types of wings including garlic parm, lemon pepper and suicide and all were delicious. Overall both service and food were good, fantastic wings.

Popped in here on a Tuesday night for some wings. Lots of tv's showing sports bars and friendly staff. Service was slow probably because the place appeared to be short staffed. There were less than 5 groups of customers while we were there, and at times there was no one present in the front of house area to provide service. I waited approximately 20 minutes to get a soda refill. A large table behind me was dirty when we arrived for dinner and still hadn't been cleared an hour later when we left. I found the wing prices were expensive, but the wings were large so less is more I'd say. Taste was good and no complaints there! Would probably not go back to this location, I did find the slow service disappointing but still tipped 15%.

The wings are okay. The sauce is average. The waitstaff forgot to place the order of someone's main entree to the kitchen so that person didn't eat their dinner of wings at the same time as us - plus the order was the wrong sauce! We didn't say anything anymore or else we had to wait longer. Two things we liked were the atmosphere and the live music.

Things are noticeably different. Every year I'd go to the anchor bar a few times a year. Food was ok, and the thing I didn't like was they didn't have Coors Light. Since the patios started opening aka Covid, I've now been there twice and it's much different than I remembered it. The big difference is the food, it's no longer just ok, it's great. I had the fish ad chips last week, and it was really good. Yesterday we stopped in and had the burger and fries and I think it's the best burger I've eaten in Burlington. The fries are awesome as well. I can't say enough about the food. The outdoor patio is great as well. I asked the manager who turned out to be the owner if they had done renos to the patio because I don't remember it being so nice? He said they didn't make any changes to the patio, but they do have a new chef and the owner who had multiple locations, closed the others and is only focusing on the Burlington location, and it shows. It has now moved up to one of me and my wife's favorite places to go. The other great news is they changed to Molson and now have Coors Light. Can't recommend enough. The food and patio atmosphere is really great!

Very nice location with a comfy atmosphere and awesome staff. The prices are just way too high, I wanted to have a big wing night with the gf so all we ordered was a 5lb bucket of wings which comes with medium fries My eyes bulged out of my head when i was handed the atm and the cost was $98!!! 2 bucks a wing?! wont be getting takeout here again, which is unfortunate because the wings are delicious and have a very authentic buffalo flavor. Next time I will drive the extra half hour and get 5lb of wings from John and Marys for $29.99.

Wanted to try the wings for some time and now that I did, I have to admit ... the wings are really good and reasonably priced !!! They also accommodate for celiac / gluten intolerance.

Started going to Anchor Bar almost 2 years ago and still to this day I feel like I pretty much live there! It's our favourite go to spot! Food's great! Drinks are great! Gorgeous patio! But best of all LOVE the staff! Just hoping they will finally add tacos to the menu for me, come on Tara and Dave!!! See y'all later lol!!!

Good service and good wings & pizza Slow due to COVID but still a nice atmosphere.

Tara makes this place. The wings are way above average shout out to the cook but the front line staff are just fantastic. Not only does Tara remember all the nueance details of your last visit drink choice, food spec decisions etc she also runs the whole place by herself?. Great place to grab a beer and food on a Thursday.
