Updated December 29, 2025. Appreciate that they are consistent in performance and quality.nnTheir beef with satay and Japanese instant noodle is nice in the way that the satay is decently crafted. A good balance is struck between saltiness, sweetness and peanut taste.nnAlso appreciate that they apply salted butter to their toasted bread. That elevates the taste of the toast to another level.nnTheir milk tea is also silky and smooth. Bravo.nnI had an all-day available regular set as my lunch.nnTheir scrambled eggs are nice in the way that it is wet and soft. The juice is preserved successfully and skillfully. The eggs are not dehydrated in the process of cooking.nnThe butter toast is crispy. It does not become stale.nnThe spaghetti is nice in the way that it is al dente and that the process of cooling is handled very well.nnThe Hong Kong style milk tea is good. It strikes a good balance between tea and milk. If I need to be picky, the milk tea is less silky. It is probably because the tea is brewed a bit long.nnThe place is clean. The attendants are friendly and diligent.nnJust a side note: Be thoughtful and don't stay too long after finishing your meal during rush hours. It is because seats are limited with this branch.
The star is the cart noodles. Brisket and soup have deep, rich flavour. The most surprising thing however is the excellent service. The servers are friendly, courteous, and well organized. I've never had a server at a Chinese place give us more soup for free in Canada or otherwise.
Service is excellent !!! Staff are warm and friendly, food is delicious, ice lemon tea and pork chop rice with tomato sauces are my favorite !!
The food is good, but everything else is not.nnIt has the perfect “Hong Kong diner” fantasy ascetics which Torontonians seem to love, and has the food to back it up as an establishment rather than the typical “hype train”.nnLeaning on the “Hong Kong diner” fantasy, they do an excellent job of also providing the service of a Hong Kong diner by completely being horrible in service - lack of attention, water/tea has to be requested and will be forgotten, and would really only do the bare minimum to be completely honest.nnSo to summarize, they have good food and do a great job in selling the fantasy. But they do too good of a job in selling this fantasy, because they excel in the famous “bad service” act - with the added bonus that you have to tip in North American for this performance
Quick and friendly service. The food is affordable and has good portions. The cold milk tea is not as silky and is a tad sweet, it's still good.
