amazing. would come back no hesitation!nnLOVE the hainanese chicken $14. soooo tender and delicious. then the fried chicken pineapple bun $12 was good although harder to eat. salted egg yolk french toast $10 and the peanut butter crunchy toast $10 were more desserts and they were also rly good, just sweet and salty buttery crispy toast. the only dish i wouldn't get again is the foie gras pineapple bun $12. a little boring compared to the others.nnfyi we waitlisted ahead of time online. there were 89 people ahead of us which took 2 hours. also they only take debit or cash
Decent spot for HK eats. Milk tea is good. The food is decent. The fried chicken in pineapple bun was crazy huge. The pork chop rice was “ok”, I really wish it was better. But the salted egg yolk French toast was amazing!nAlso be sure to check out the google waitlist, gets really busy
Went on a cold Sunday at 10am, waited 35 minutes to be seated. Service was quick and furious! Every dish was delicious. That chicken avocado burger was something special like chick fil-a on steroids. A must try if you like chicken. Black truffle scramble eggs on toast is simple and tasty. This was my 1st visit and definitely not my last. Saw some reviewers complaining about prices but it seems extremely fair value to quality. Must try when visiting TO.
Café De Hong Kong serves up some truly delicious Hong Kong-style comfort food. The Hainan Chicken with rice is flavorful and tender, and the fried chicken leg is huge, crispy, and satisfying. The bottled milk tea is a must-try - smooth and rich - though you can’t keep the bottle. If you want to take it home, they’ll pour it into a takeout cup for you.nnThat said, be prepared for a long wait, especially on weekends or public holidays. A staff member mentioned wait times can go up to 2 hours during busy periods. If you don’t mind the wait, the food is definitely worth it.
Hainanese chicken was out of stock early dinner on a weekday so unfortunately I didn't get to try it. Everything we did get to order was crazy oily and just okay. Brisket noodle soup was the best of the lot, but I didn't enjoy the house fried rice or the street food platter.
