Ordered the dark meat chicken thighs with mashed potatoes. The chicken was good, and the mashed potatoes came out hot! It was also really affordable and pretty filling. My only complaint is that they use a styrofoam box. Since the chicken came hot straight out of the grill, it burned holes into the Styrofoam which cant be safe for consumption. Please change the container!!!
Great new local restaurant serving some delicious food. Really loved the chicken roll where you have a choice of white or dark meat based on preference and that homemade bbq + salsa sauce combo was phenomenal. Also this place is super well priced ~$9 for a meal and service is quick but complete. Definitely recommend stopping by
I was excited to check this place out after reading several positive reviews. They all hold up! The chicken roll was packed full and delicious - great value. I will definitely be coming back regularly as a very satisfied customer.
The Chicken Roll was DELICIOUS! Nothing fancy, just the right amount of food for a filling, affordable lunch served by a very friendly staff and owner. Walk-in to carry-out at peak lunch time took 6 minutes. Do yourself a favor and go, already! Don't forget to get a punch card!
Half a chicken, a side, and pita for less than $7. Can't beat it downtown in the Loop. Flavorful chicken is what they do best and they do it fast and friendly in a small place; don't plan on eating there, you're better off getting it to go and eating elsewhere with limited seating.
Love this place for a quick healthy-ish meal. The workers are pretty nice, and the food is almost 100% consistent. I always get dark meat and here lately it has been very overcooked. Lay off the heat a little guys!
I used to go here regularly when they were located near where I work. They moved and sadly they are now too far for me to make it there and back during my lunch hour. I had some extra time yesterday and made the hike out there to grab their lunch special for the first time in 15 years. It tasted EXACTLY as I remembered...perfect! Never change Chicken Planet!!
Simple place with a great fresh chicken "roll" which is a pita sandwich. Very filling for a good lunch price. They also have a salad, a chicken plate with a side, and lemon rice soup. But the chicken roll is a whole meal for me! Comes with either salsa or BBQ sauce but I just eat it plain with mayo.
Simple, affordable, delicious and quick! The chicken roll was so good, I had to get a second one before hopping on the train to Midway. I'll be back again, Chicken Planet! Features: The restaurant was very, very clean.
One of the few places you can get a hearty, somewhat healthy meal for 7 bucks quarter chicken, side, pita, sauce. Food is constantly good. Service is always great. Place is clean too. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat in the loop, chicken planet is a great alternative to fast food.
