Very spiritually elevating; excellent hospitality and welcoming. I recommend to anyone in downtown Toronto to attend the services especially on Shabat and holidays.

Chabad of Downtown is the most wonderful synagogue, and I'm so happy to have become a part of this incredible community! Its a kind, warm and inviting place, where you feel welcomed every time, regardless of your "religiosity”. Rabbi Mendel Chaikin has such an amazing and powerful voice, and listening to his prayers is always such a pleasure! He's also very mindful, and always makes sure that everyone can follow along. He also makes amazing D'var Torahs, which are easy to understand and connect to, and keep me inspired and wanting to hear/learn more! The Rebbetzin, Chanie Chaikin, is equally incredible, and the kiddish meals she prepares every week are literal feasts( and her chollent is so golden and delicious)!! You will never leave feeling hungry, thats for sure, and the atmosphere her amazing food creates is nothing short of awesome. It feels like you’re attending a party every week! If you're ever in the downtown area and need to attend a service, you will be so glad you stopped in!
