Centre Evolution/Tristar Gym is an IBJJF certified Black Belt School owned and operated by 2nd degree Black Belt Prof. Daniel Guillemette and an affiliate of Canada's #1 MMA training facility Tristar Gym owned and operated by coach Firas Zahabi. I've been boxing at Evolution for a year and I can say that it is the best gym/club that I have been to. The coach is very experienced, he always pushes you to be better and always gives great feedback. No matter your goal, he will ensure to give you all the tools to reach it and be proud of yourself. Coach Romi is always there to listen to you and he will help you build strong discipline and confidence!
Incredibly friendly, welcoming, and dedicated. I’ve been coming here since August of 2021 and I have not regretted my decision since. Dan and the other instructors here are hospitable and truly strive to improve and evolve the students who join their many classes that are offered. I personally take the Boxing classes, and it’s helped me get in shape, build confidence, and ignited a passion inside of me for the art! There is something for everyone, and I believe that nothing here is undervalued. Everyone comes here to strive and improve. Teens, the elderly, those who’re looking to get in shape, and even athletes who’re trying to sharpen their technique. I have not experienced a case where anyone had clashed with one another, we’re all here for the same reason. To improve as martial artists. As the club’s name implies, this is a place that truly develops and evolves a person. I truly recommend this gym, even if it’s just to try a few classes!
Awesome boxing gym! Been to a few different martial arts gyms in the past and love the vibe of this one. Beginner friendly, but also more advanced options for athletes looking for more. Worth dropping in to give it a try
Great group of friendly people lead by a great owner. I have been practicing judo here since 2019 with excellent senseis but also train with guys who do BJJ and who are great partners. Excellent for both people who want to do martial arts for personal purposes or more competitive goals. BJJ gi and no gi, judo, boxing, MMA, it has a wide range of different disciplines and also encourages cross-training between these. Always a pleasure to train here.
This is an amazing club. It has something for everyone, from those looking for a fun way to increase their fitness to those looking to compete. I have trained at a lot of dojos and it is nice to find a group that so welcoming and free of ego. If you are considering jiu jitsu come down and try a class you won't be disappointed. Great instructors, great group!
If you are looking for an awesome BJJ, Judo and Boxing program in the Outaouais Region look no further than Arts Martiaux Evolution. I have been training BJJ at the school since 2007 and cannot say enough of the level of teaching Dan Guillemette brings to the table. I want to add that Evolution has recently added a boxing program ran by an amazing coach named Romi El-Ghourani. Coach Romi is an amazing technical coach who can give you the finest teaching of “the sweet science”. Whether you are looking to get in shape, lose weight or become a competitor coach Romi will lead you there. Classes are amazingly ran with a great teaching plan emphasizing the foundations of boxing as well as the more advance concepts. If you are looking for BJJ/ Judo or Boxing Arts Martiaux Evolution is the place for you.
Visiting from BC and found this place for a BJJ class. Very welcoming and friendly gym. Learned some new techniques with really great instruction. Would highly recommend.
If you are looking for a great place to train BJJ, Judo or Boxing, with knowledgeable coaches, and great people all around, you can't go wrong with Centre Evolution. I've been training and teaching at this school for almost 10 years now.
Great gym, great teacher, great partners. I enjoyed my first few weeks since I came in from a different gym and everyone was friendly. I definitely recommend this gym to anyone.
Wonderful, clean and inclusive gym for individuals of all levels, skills and backgrounds. The owner and head coach, Dan, is very welcoming, patient and extremely competent. Other students are always willing to help and it is a blast to train there!
