I’ve been going to this gym for about 18 months and switched from Anytime Fitness. This gym is fully equipped with a ton of cardio standard equipment but I love that they have more niche equipment like a ski erg, concept 2 rowers, assault bikes, and manual treadmills. Everything is in great working order. The set up of the gym is very well thought out with a free weights section and specific weighted machines on both levels of the gym. There is also a women’s only section, though not blocked off to other gym-goers if that’s a consideration for you. My absolute favourite part of the gym is the « weight lifting » side that is fully equipped with 10+ squat racks, 2 weight lifting platforms, olympic plates, peg boards, a turf, sleds, and more. If you’re looking for a clean, well-equipped gym that can accommodate nearly every type of training your little heart desires at an extremely competitive price, this place is definitely worth exploring. They also have lovely staff on-site 24/7 that never fail to say good morning and keep the gym in tip-top shape.

The staff at Gym Maxx is great and the machines are solid, no complaints there. But the management and dress code rules? A bit of a mystery. I wore the same muscle shirts for two months—shirts I bought specifically to follow their policy—and suddenly I was stopped three-quarters into a workout and asked to leave because two inches of the back of my shoulder were visible. Meanwhile, someone else was checking in with a tank top held together by spaghetti straps. I tried to get clarification from staff, but the logic behind the rules didn’t add up. Great gym, confusing enforcement.

Been coming here over 3 years now. Gym is always spotless and staff very friendly even . Smoothie bar is a nice amenity as well!
