Celebration Park

Amazingly friendly, knowledgeable volunteers (Megan, Larry). Thoroughly enjoyed the petroglyph tour and the museum tour. Camping was plentiful and quiet with a hummingbird at my site. Beautiful early am hike to Halvorson lakes. Really got my head around the boulder fields as tumbling rocks in a roaring flooded river at the time of the Bonneville flood. Thanks for this historical gem!

It's worth the drive! We learned about the Indians, miners, animals, the bridge, and the rocks/volcano history. Big part of Idaho heritage and history.

A nice place to see the river. We spent a few hours here over a period of a few days seeing the sights, watching the jumpers, and walking the riverside trail. The walls of the gorge and the views of the bridge and river are tremendous. Jumpers? Really? Yeah, "base jumpers" walk out to the middle of the bridge and jump! They are wearing parachutes but still, they are jumping off a perfectly good bridge! If you want to see this madness, I believe they tend to do this more in the mornings and evenings. The park is a nice stop and the associated visitor center /gift shop add more value for your time. Oh, and anyone with a Tesla will love the five or six Tesla chargers on one side of the parking lot.
