Sportsman's Park

This was the first year in almost a decade that our family has contemplated leaving the park early and eating the cost. The sheer rudeness and arrogance of other guests was beyond appalling. People parking their cars in our slots, walking through our sites simple because they dont want to walk around to get to a grassy area, dogs running around, atvs and trucks romping through the 5mph area, and it said atvs were not to even be used (caretaker was using one but that is part of the park maintenance-didnt bother me). To me the boaters felt like the park was theirs to do as they saw fit. Parking and blocking roadways, so i had to drive on grass just to get around, parking and blocking spaces, or parking wherever there was a free spot. The county dump station just outside ended up being long-term parking to the point we could not dump our tanks and just left to find another location, which we had to ens up paying for. Nobody would move their vehicles and simply ignored others trying to do the same. The camp host can only be out so often, so i dont fault him. We did see an Aberdeen police car drive through a few times, we'd hoped that might have helped, but no it did not. This year might be the last time we stay here for memorial day weekend, but i hope not.

Went there for a fishing derby. The place is well kept and clean. A great place for large groups.

Great family friendly place to camp, picnic, swim, hike, boat, fish, and just relax! Lots of room between most camp sites for larger families to spread out. Great fire pits for night time stories and fun. Anything from volleyball to horse shoes is available to play here! It is a great place for family fun! My only complaint is the lack of mantainance on the restroom facilities.
