The tiny window is sooo cute and warm! The owner is pretty nice and welcoming, and enthusiastic and confident about his dishes. When he was preparing my dish, he said the spice would make the meat so good. It turns out, yes he’s right = I had a lamb and beef gyro. The meat is moderately marinated the meat in Aladdin is a bit over marinated sometimes and the parsley flavor is a surprise! The pita is grilled, slightly crispy outside and soft inside. Will come and try other dishes again!
It's a small local restaurant across from Link University station. Very limited indoor seating also there are outside tables but UW campus is 5 minutes away. I would do to-go order and eat on the grass at campus if the weather gets nicer. The owener is very friendly and talkative. Food is good amount and tasty. I had gyro salad for my lunch. I would like to try other menu next time.
We loved meeting the owners. Everything taste/feel like home! Their garlic sauce is to die for A highly recommended restaurant.Food: 5/5
To be honest, this is the best Kebab I have ever eaten in this whole U-district. The beef was so tender and delicious, it’s heavenly-sent food
Cedars is one of my u district staples, and one of my favorite places to grab a bite in Seattle. I almost always get the falafel sandwich, so i can't say much about the meat options, but it's a perfect little sandwich. Doesn't fall apart or get messy, great falafel, and i tiny bit of heat. My favorite in the city. Vegetarian options: Lots of great veggie and even vegan options. I think the falafel sandwich is vegan by default but I'm not sure. Lentil soup is amazing.
The kind man at this restaurant was working pretty much alone when he took the time and energy to make me two Falafel sandwiches when my partner and I were just going to spilt one. He only charged me for one. It was a very kind and thoughtful gesture, one you don’t get at most places these days anymore.
Absolutely lovely experience!!! the owner especially was so kind it really makes you fall in love with the place. My only issue is that I can’t eat there every day!!! I’d recommend this place a million times over :
I never write reviews but the service was exceptional! The restaurant was quick with my order and the food was delicious - the best chicken shawarma I've ever had. The owners are the friendliness people I've met in Seattle since moving here and I've been here for awhile. Their smiles and kindness is contagious and I was seriously in a better mode after talking to the owners even for a couple of minutes. As a plus, they gave my dog some leftover salmon they had as a treat! I will be coming back to this family restaurant in the future!
Big fan of this little spot. Super friendly staff and great food. Recommend gyro platters, lentil soup, and spanakopita.
There was a weird taste in the food. I’m giving two stars because the waiter was nice to us. Other than that I wouldn’t come again. While we were there old lady came asking about their falafel if they make it fresh their answer was no. It was weird to hear that the food is not fresh.
