Story

Wow! If you're looking for family fun, this is the place to be! Campground amenities and activities include a petting zoo, Jumping Pillow, heated swimming and kiddie pool, daily hayrides, outdoor movies, theme weekends, daily kids' camp, pancake breakfasts, candy bar bingo, basketball, volleyball, badminton and horseshoes. Enjoy the large pavilion with a Camping Kitchen, as well as a Kamp K9. This KOA offers everything from tent sites (without service) to large gravel 50-amp pull thru sites and Cabins (with and without service). Cavendish KOA is in the middle of the island-and close to area attractions (discount tickets available). The campground is just across the road from Cavendish Grove, Prince Edward Island National Park of Canada. The farm immortalized in Anne of Green Gables is less than 1/2 mile away. The KOA staff hopes to see you this summer! Free Wi-Fi.

great campsite for visiting cavendish. several activities nearby. It is a typical KOA campsite, for those who are used to it will recognize the brand. For a stop in Cavendish I recommend.
My boyfriend’s family has camped here seasonally for ages, and I 100% understand why!nThe campground’s location is perfect for those staying for any reason: music festivals, shopping, or family fun. Every kiddo we saw during our stay was having a blast. Their playground and pool space is close to the main building, but far enough from the camping sites that there’s an aspect of privacy; for those looking for something quiet and not too rambunctious.nTheir bathrooms were clean, and the campsites were the perfect size for what we needed. Everything was super central.nNot only did we make great friends with our site neighbours, but Gigi, Glen, and Peter made our weekend so much more special. They were SO sweet, kept us laughing all weekend, and were always so happy to see us as we came and went each day. They made us feel at home.nWe were genuinely sad to leave the KOA when our vacation came to an end. Leaving our little camp family was tough, but we will be back next year- I’ll never choose a different campground if I can help it! Thanks for an amazing stay!
Came her for the second year in a row with the family. Kids have a blast every time with lots for them to run around and do along with the different events each evening. Sites are clean and a good size. Not far from beautiful Cavendish beach
It is fully packed during peak season. The camp sites are narrow and so close to each other. The couple good thing about the site are the pretty leveled ground and fully hook up service. But we selected that and paid for. So I wouldn’t consider that as bonus. Some campers are very rude and unhelpful. We went out for dinner and got back to our site around 9pm. We found our picnic table was moved and used by others. And no one bother to move it back to our site. And we did laundry on the second day of our stay, the washer and dryer are extremely outdated, no estimate time shown on any machines. We set up the dryer and left. Came back 40 mins later, found out that some other camper couldn’t wait a bit, they decided to pulled out our dried cleaned clothes and left on the public used table. I confronted the lady who did that, she said someone told her to do so. We all know there is no such “someone”. I was extremely disappointed about this rude behavior. Will I ever come back again? Probably not.
Cavendish KOA was one of the highlights of our trip to Prince Edward Island. We got a patio site in the “rich” section that was the best furnish site I’ve ever enjoyed. Tables, Weber Grill and a wooden swing. At one point I had an electrical problem my fault and was assisted by none other than the owner, Matthew. He not only took care of us but arranged at great length our ability to stay on that site longer than we anticipated. After meeting Matthew he would stop in during our ten day visit to check in with us and tell us all about the island which he grew up on.nnThis KOA is a paradise for kids but what most impressed me was the staff. They loved their job with the kids and it showed.nnThis KOA is walking distance to great restaurants and a short drive to the beach and everything Anne of Green Gables.nnWell done guys, you won my heart.
