Catfish Charlie's

The food has always been good. We come from the Quad Cities area to eat here. The atmosphere and food are both excellent. The servers are usually super great, but we sometimes get a not so interested server that makes the experience a little less fun.

The Smoked BBQ Platter made this 5 stars and it was an accident we got it. Nice location, friendly staff, and overall good food. Ordered the Charlie's Catfish and Ribs and Shrimp. Waitress accidentally entered the BBQ platter, but brought the shrimp anyway and made the cost right. Even the next night the BBQ was good. Catfish, Clam chowder, and Beer Cheese Mac and cheese which had a heat spice to it were good. The shrimp was a little small.

Food looked great but it was not good. Had fried oysters and charlies catfish. The batter to oyster ratio was 8:1 and too salty, I had to spit it out because they were the fishiest oysters I’ve ever had.. the beans and rice were almost like a too sweet gumbo. Beer cheese soup is super spicy. Only good tasting thing is the catfish. The server was a little condescending and didn’t even ask why I didn’t finish my food.

This was our first time out here as we were traveling through! Our server Lexi, was amazing and impressively had all the specials memorized. She was very kind and helpful when it came to the menu. The food was delicious and fresh. It was out within 15 minutes of ordering. 2 drinks, 2 meals, and a dessert to go was only $60! Truly great place to dine in. Highly recommend.

This is a laid-back restaurant that has patio seating. The menu has plenty of food options and the drinks menu is also large. As a vegetarian, there were enough items for me to pick from to have a meal. Service was attentive.
