Casey’s Grill Bar

It was very odd coming across a Casey's, long gone from southern Ontario. The decor and vibe were quite retro, stuck in the early-mid 90's. The service was absolutely fantastic! We had the kindest, most down-to-earth server one could possibly want in a restaurant. We started with some wings, which were tasty. Sadly, our main course, which was a half rack of ribs and an all dark meat 1/2 'rotisserie' chicken, wasn't good at all. The meat was overcooked and dry, and no amount of sauce would overcome this. The fries were good, along with the local beer on tap. A trip to the washroom easily knocked off a star, quite disgusting. For a trip back in time and some so-so food, head on over here.

For what i ordered the 8oz sirloin steak baked potato and zucchini and what i was able to enjoy the zucchini and oven baked potatoe. The steak arrived 45 mins after it was ordered as medium what was recieved the first time was blue rare , the second time they brought the steak was also blue rare which i ended up not eating the waitress advised she took the meal off and handed me the bill for the meal and was a little lost that the meal had additionals on the bill the meal stated 29 bucks for the 8oz meal typically with potatoes and seasonal veggies in this case the menu was not clear nor was the waitress about how the restaurant pricing was

I went in for a late lunch, my waitress was very nice, I ordered a steak and it was not made how I asked for, the steak and veggies was cold and thankfully the potato was hot and fresh. I was charged 10$ for the baked potato and juice and I left. Never again

I haven't seen a Casey's for 20 years I had no idea there was still some around. The food was amazing and the service was even better! Its worth the drive to TIMMINS! Came back to try more menu items! My son loved his buffalo chicken wrap and poutine, my wife loved her club sandwich on multigrain with poutine. I unfortunately was not so lucky, I tried their new chicken soft tacos and the chicken was SO, SO incredibly dry that I couldn't even eat the 2nd taco! I'm sure glad I didn't get the 4 tacos! Still a good restaurant and we'll be back, but definitely not for the tacos.

Nice restaurant. The portions are good for the value. The soup is excellent. Friendly staff. Good service.
