The road was rough, and I've got decades of off-road experience, but for my little pop up, the kitchen did not survive, and at a max of 30km, very sad! The sites were good, some smaller than others and not always flat. Some have views, others don't. Same with beach access. We did not have a view, but a very short walk to a small bit of beach to sit and read, away from big groups. There's minimal outhouses for my liking. If someone's 'busy' for a while, it's a stretch to the next outhouse. As far as outhouses go, they were sturdy and clean. It's pack in/pack out. The staff went around on a golf cart regularly checking things, so they were on top of maintenance. The bugs weren't too bad either, given it was a bad year for mosquitoes. Lots of people had paddle boards, kayaks, floaties etc. There's no day use area, camping only. Beautiful spot, but depends what you're looking for and the gear you've got.
Gorgeous campsite. Amazing hosts. It was a bit dirty from previous guests where we camped pick up the toilet paper after yourselves! Overall so so beautiful and calming. Awesome place for paddle boarding and kayaking :
I really do love this place. They didn't get any work done on this campsite this season, 2 campsites are out of service all summer. I prefer the walk in sites in this campground
Nice campsite, not all sites have good beach access. Car access was not an issue with my 2006 Scion XB, just take it slow and drive around the pot holes. Yes, the pit toilets are still smelly, but they are clean, they just need to be replaced/upgraded. Make sure you bring TP. Wear a mask and rub a little bit of mint chapstick on your upper lip to reduce the smell. Camp host was super friendly and very prompt on doing a drive around at 11pm to shut down any loud music or parties. Occasional gunshots/explosions heard in the distance due to the redneck nature of Harrison Lake Road. Mosquitos were ferocious, bring bug repellent!
Wonderful experience and gorgeous campground. Breathtaking views, great host, remote and quiet. We had a lovely time. It is totally worth the 11km bumpy ride on a gravel road to get there much better if you have a 4wd . We feel so lucky we found this gem of a campsite! Highly recommend.
Nice campground although not all sites are created equal. There were some really noisy folks that the host did not deal with at night which made it uncomfortable for others to enjoy their time.
Nice campground, beautiful spot, I wish I had booked a spot instead of the walk in. The host was helpful and friendly.
Amazing camp site. Multiple hike-able coves to check out. Group sites are waterfront with rock beaches. Recyclable bottles can b left here but garbage is pack in pack out. Staff is friendly. Well kept camp site. A civic can make it in here
Great recsite. Host is very friendly and helpful. Very clean site with beautiful views and excellent access to the lake. Some sites are on the small side. Loved our stay.
Beautiful location and campground, but the host might be going senile or something. He came into our campsite complaining we were too loud the night before even though we had just arrived earlier that day and he checked us in. When we pointed it out, he just got all rude and stormed off instead of apologizing for his error. Not exactly how you want to be treated as a paying customer
