My review is based on lack of customer service from the owners due to a recent cancelation for the May long weekend. Due to checking out the very sketchy narrow road ahead of time we decided to cancel our reservation based on the safety of the road. The website is not honest with the state of this road, it should clearly state that the road is very narrow, one way and offers no way to move out of the way to oncoming vehicles. The owners state that people arrive at check in and leave at check out time, but what happens when that doesn't happen and someone needs to head down the road at an off time... then what happens... who is backing up... wasn't worth the safety of our family for a camping trip. Even though we cancelled with 4 days notice the campsite manager stated that under special circumstances a refund would be permitted and would get back to us. They re booked the sites and were not out of pocket any money due to our cancellation, yet they refused to refund us, nor call me back and never answer their phone when you call. It is unfortunate that it came to this but due to many attempts to discuss our situation with the owner it was ignored. Buyer beware, this road is very sketchy and certainly not advertised correctly by the resort.

The resort is very quaint. The staff is very friendly. It's comfortable, clean and very family oriented. This is my first time here and I will definitely be back

Arrived for a three night stay on Thursday at a lake side cabin, the smallest of the four. Was quite pleased when I read the rules that loud music would not be tolerated as we came to enjoy the peace and quiet, from both loud and stressful careers. The first evening, we were greeted later in the evening with our neighbours loud music, speakers directed towards our cabin, as their fire pit was situated to the side of their cabin, directly beside us. After speaking to them twice about reducing their music, it finally ceased about 1:30 am. The second day their music started about 10 am and didn’t cease until later in the afternoon, when they had retreated into their cabin and still had their music outside for everyone’s enjoyment. That evening we did enjoy a peaceful evening around a lovely camp fire. The neighbours left the following morning, only to have the campers, young and drunk, greet us with every version of rap available from about noon on... the caretakers did come around a few times for various reasons ( delivering wood, cleaning cabins between rentals ) and with mentioning the loud music, it didn’t seem a concern. Only that the sounds carry oddly with the valley and the water. We chose to leave in the later part of the afternoon, one day early, to guarantee quiet enjoyment at home. The grounds were well kept, the cabins , lakefront, are nice. The lake is lovely. It is definitely for guests who like loud music and more of a party type atmosphere.

We had booked the May long weekend at Blue Lake right at lot 4 right on the lake. Someone informed us of the sketchy roads going up to the resort (one way up and down). Very narrow, no guard rails... definitely not going to risk my families well being going there. We went to check it out beforehand. What if a trailer came was coming up towards you? Who would be the one to back your 20' trailer back down the road and risk falling down the cliff? Even the most experienced driver wouldn't want to do that. So we cancelled and was informed no refund on the deposit unless it gets booked. I advertised for them on FB and got them a new reservation but not on our lot as it was already booked by the time they called. After several messages to them they have ignored us and will not even partially refund us. They essentially got one booking off me through FB where they could have gone elsewhere and double dipped on a lot 4 as they got someone else on it. If you want to risk your family safety going here in a large trailer go for it. They obviously don't care about your safety. And btw they say deposits are 1 or 2 nights. They charged more than that. More like 2.5 nights. Definitely not going to recommend them based on service. Owner wouldn't even take the phone call. Since I cannot reply to your reply.... here's my reply... Yes your website is misleading. I have photos of the narrow roads to show anyone who wants to see it travelling in a work truck for comparison. It's nice that the owner replies so quickly here after its a public post after hiding behind his employee ignoring the emails and voicemails.
