GOALS OF THE CEG GIRLS TEAM PROGRAM

1) To provide a positive, safe, developmental, and fun environment where every participating gymnast will be guided to reach their full performance potential.
2) To provide and maintain a high professional standard of coaching, through proper selection and training of staff and personnel.
3) To develop a program whereby each team member is able to express herself in a competition/performance atmosphere.

Let me preface this by saying my daughter has been going to this gym since she was around 3 years old. I am very familiar with what goes on in the gym because I generally stay and watch the entire practice session. I give this gym one star only because of two excellent rec coaches; coaches Tricia and Ava. Otherwise I would give this gym zero stars. Take my advice and stay away from this gym. You will avoid a lot of heartache and save a lot of money. The coaches treat there gymnasts terribly by constantly yelling, ridiculing, and berating them. I feel bad that I allowed this to happen to my daughter. I thought this was part of the sport until I started reading more about the sport. By the time my daughter left the gym, she was taped up and hated gymnastics. I recently found out a prior teammate of hers left the Xcel program as well. The coaches do not know how to break down skills so that the kids understand. They in turn punish the kids with conditioning and by yelling at them. Another girl at Cascade Elite who as on pre-team quit and ended up hating gymnastics. Way to go Cascade Elite, you guys suck! As I mentioned, when my daughter quit she also hated gymnastics but I got her to try out for the Silver Xcel team for Bothell Gymnastics Club (BGC). Boy what a difference I immediately noted. The coaches are amazing and the girls are super friendly. When Natalia first showed up they looked at her taped up wrists and told her to take off the tape because they do all sorts of stretching exercise to strengthen he wrists. Sure enough, once we took the tape off, her wrist pain went away. In the meantime, Cascade's answer was to continue to tape her wrists. Cascade spends half their practice running their girls and yelling and laughing at them to run faster at the expense of inadequate stretching. The atmosphere at BGC is much lighter and positive. They adopt a more positive proactive coaching style. No yelling, berating or ridiculing at BGC. Just recently, a coach from Cascade Elite left and came to BGC. The writing is on the wall. Cascade Elite is going down and gymnasts and coaches are fleeing to BGC. BGC is everything you hope for in a gym. I am so happy my daughter found another home. Grateful that the owner of the gym took her in when the other silver members were quite a bit ahead of her. She is now catching up and will soon be ready for competition in December. If you are unhappy with Cascade Elite or are looking for a gym, I highly recommend BGC which is located in Bothell at 2214 20th Ave. SE Bothell.

I've heard good things about this place. So far, my 4 year old son has attended a free introductory class. He enjoyed it very much. There is an upstairs balcony area where parents can watch their children in classes. This is nice. I couldn't watch however, because my 2 year old was throwing a fit because he wanted to participate. I wish they had a small play room for the babies/toddlers who are waiting for their siblings.

I really like cascade elite it's one of my favorite gyms I love my 2 favorite coaches very much Coach Trisha and Coach Jake!! Thank you both for teaching me great skills I can't wait to see you again!

Cascade Elite has terrific gymnastics programs. Both the recreational and the team programs have coaches that are very knowledgable and exceedingly encouraging. Their facility is GREAT too!
