The best Italian restaurant in Barrie! Sal is an amazing chef, never disappoints! I have lunch here at least 2 to 3 times a week, I cant get enough. The chicken, pasta and lasagne are AMAZING! and try the homemade hot sauce, its unbelievable. Prices are so reasonable too!!

I was disappointed in the home made meat balls, I received 2 small ones in my take out order and they had no flavour, as well the lasagna tasted like it had been frozen, I’m sorry but I did not enjoy.

I had Casano’s cater their XL meat lasagne trays for my wedding and everyone loved it! There was a good amount of sauce, cheese and pasta layers. I have no complaints

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch yesterday for the first time. The gentleman who was working gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, and after we told him we had never been there before he showed us what he had on the hot table and also what other items he had that were available for lunch. I decided on the lasagna which came with one meatball, and my husband had the pasta with sausage. We also purchased a can of iced tea, and a small carton of milk to drink. The food was DELICIOUS! The portions were large, the pasta wasn't over cooked and the sauce was so good my husband said he should have asked for a straw to drink up every drop of sauce on his plate. Everything is made fresh everyday and you can tell as soon as you take your first bite. The bill for lunch was only $21.59. We would have spent more than that stopping at at a fast food place which certainly isn't the healthiest option. We are already planning to go back to try some Italian sandwiches. I also want to mention that their sauce is not greasy like some other places in town that serve the same kind of food for a higher price. We highly recommend.

One of the best homemade pasta great veal on bun pepper & mushrooms for only 7 dollars..chicken on bun meat ball on bun ..Lasagna is 7 layers high with great sauce and veggie or meat ..so good hot table every day quick service ..daily specials. I highly recommended this place.

Friendly service and fantastic homemade Italian food. I've been coming here for almost three years now and this review is long overdue. There are not many places out there anymore that consistently make delicious food; there are not many places that offer friendly, courteous service. Casano's always supplies both. I am always happy when I leave here. I wish this restaurant success as they certainly deserve it!

I had been to Casano's many years ago when it was run by the husband and wife. The food was delicious and fresh made pasta, the veal was tender and flavourful. I went there recently and was very disappointed. The veal sandwich was not good at all chewy ,tough and no flavour, the coating cameoff after one bite. The sauce was cold and no spice, mushroom and peppers were also cold and greasy. The people were still very nice the mother and her daughter. I have had Mondos and it is far better. I will try Casano's once more and give them the chance that it was an off day.
