We brought our truck in for repairs in February. SIX MONTHS and we still don’t have our truck back! First it was back ordered parts, then the part order was canceled but somehow they didn’t know, then more repairs than expected, etc. They have been saying it will be ready in 2 weeks for months on end. They do not contact us proactively, we have to constantly call to find out what is happening. Customer service doesn’t seem concerned. Check your insurance options and go elsewhere! Hoping our repairs are least worth the wait if they ever get done.
Had to get bodywork on my 2022 Ram, told me it would take 4 days and that is how long it took. The repairs look amazing. Great job and great service.
Attention to detail is atrocious. I have complained about concerns to the manager from the day I went to pick my vehicle up after it was "repaired" there, only to be told I'm "being too picky" and there is no adjustment to be made to fix the gaps that have been left. They told me they would be replacing my damaged parts with O.E.M parts from G.M and I absolutely don't believe for a minute they did. The fit and finish is terrible, the interior was covered in body dust, drivers side widow covered in overspray, drivers side door handle loose.........list goes on. I guess expecting my vehicle to look like it did prior to being hit is too much to ask.
My car was taken here after an accident, on my insurance company's instructions. Unfortunately, the car was written off so I have no experience with Carstars work. The people I met were kind and helpful.
If I could give this place a minus in rating I would! We were given an estimate of 10 days to fix the front end and an estimate of $13,000. After over 7 weeks we finally got it back yesterday... And the cost went up to over $18,000!!! Not once through out the whole 7 weeks did we get an update about our vehicle or that our vehicle was moved to Oshawa to get certain things fixed. I only found that out because a friend seen my car parked at Ford and text me about it. Picked up my vehicle yesterday and the staff was rude and my hood isn't lined up straight and headlight is sitting on the paint ...after having my vehicle for 7 weeks and over $18,000 later there should be not one problem with my vehicle. I will be letting my insurance company know this has happened and my car will NEVER go here again! Editing because this was noticed today my phone charger is also missing from the compartment it was in!
The attention to detail is horrible, dirt in the paint, overspray in the wheel well, and shoddy caulking that is visable standing beside the car. I'm not sure what kind of training these people are doing but they just don't care seem to care for work quality. I'm not happy, I would never come back and I would never recommend someone to bring their own car here if they want a good quality job done. This is beyond horrible. Having said that, their customer service is alright but I feel like I shouldn't have to keep booking appointments to come back and fix things that should of been done properly during the two week job period. update they have taken my car back in and redone the work after some paint and some caulking flaked off exposing the metal and started turning rusty fml in stuck with this car now... Actually the job is much nicer this time around, perhaps someone else worked on the car this time. However it looks nothing like the factory paint. I don't think they should have taken on a job if they can't match the quality of paint the car came with.
Fred's Autobody went up and above with their work and customer service. They even detailed the inside of my car! They were a pleasure to deal with and that made me feel at peace with the fact that someone had rear ended me because I had confidence that they would repair it perfectly...and they did! They were recommended by my insurance company and I highly recommend them now too.
