My daughter stayed in this student residences in her first year, and she loves it! Rooms are big and clean, even though they are bit dated. Her room had A/C, and heating, and a washroom with a shower. Each floor has shared laundry, a basic kitchen, and study rooms. The kitchens have a Microwave Oven, and an Electric Water Kettle. The building also has a Restaurant. The 20 floor building has two public elevators. The building is served by a manned bilingual front desk, and a card ased security system that opens turnstiles, and security doors. The building is located close proximity to the academic buildings and many amenities in the heart of downtown Montreal. This is a well-managed building. Highly recommended!
Nope. That’s it. Simply don’t bother with this place. The tubs don’t drain, the carpet is all ripped up and the walls are peeling. I don’t know about you guys but I prefer to not have a shower with water up to my shins. Food is sub par, unless the right person is on shift.
Would not recommend. I stayed for 2 nights last July, and as I'm looking to visit Montreal again, I was reminded to finally write this review - albeit late. Location was the only good thing about this hotel I didn't have the breakfast so I can't speak for that. Upon arrival, my original room reeked of stale smoke, so I requested to be moved. The rooms were old and unclean, especially the bathroom, where it looked as if the staff didn't properly clean between guests. There was a watermark/ring on the bathroom counter from another guest's glass or cup, which makes me think they didn't even wipe down the surfaces. The shower/tub area was pretty gross and due for a replacement. The general uncleanliness of the room bothered me. I was contemplating booking a different hotel after I arrived, but it was getting to be too late at this point. Save yourself and pay extra for a decent hotel. I will never "cheap out" on a hotel again.
The rooms are not clean. The chair in my room was covered with someone else's hair. The bathtub in my room fills with water whenever the shower is used because the drains are clogged. No fitted bed sheets, just a flat sheet that comes off every night. The mattress is very hard. Some of the electrical outlets don't work and they're all hidden behind furniture. The breakfast buffet has very few items, none of them suitable for vegans, except the fruit. The saving grace is that the desk staff are friendly and the location is good. I highly recommend staying elsewhere.
Arriving was very easy and we found parking across the street for $20 a night. The hotel was close to transit and about a half hour walk to old Montreal. The hotel was fine for two nights as we were barely there. The room had a slight odour, the airconditioning did not work, the window was filthy so there was no view and the shower did not drain. The beds were comfortable though. The breakfast that was included was not good at all! In the end it was okay but it wasn't cheap!
The hotel itself was nice. It could have been a little bit cleaner. Unfortunately our room was full with maintenance staff when we arrived, so we had to wait until another room was free. That shouldn't happen! The staff was very friendly and did everything to solve our problem. Awesome breakfast!
Bad experience. 1st disappointment the hotel does not provide parking facility. Second our Room Ac wasn’t working which we realised after midnight. Third the curtains in the room were short so when the day light appeared the room was as bright as anything 6in the morning. The decor is poor, tv is old. So much furniture in the room that there is barely a walk space. Toilets too tiny. Not going back again.
Staff was incredibly friendly! Bed was Sadly room was very dusty and everything looked like it needed to be replaced as it was very old and run-down: Carpeting, Chips out of the bath, stains on the walls & other places. The air conditioner was very noisy but luckily it did not keep us awake at night. Breakfast was included, but it was not great.
Great location. In the heart of downtown Montreal, just minutes from old Montreal and major tourist attractions. The rooms were very cozy and great value for what you get. Came with breakfast! That's ham and eggs the whole deal. Would highly recommend!
Good location. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Good selection. Only complaint about breakfast; lots of dirty plates. Rooms were well cleaned, some spots missed here and there. Old building, so carpet, curtains, ceilings etc. are somewhat outdated.
