Despite being short staffed our food came out quickly and our waitress was very friendly. If you’re stopping by Muskegon and want a local place I’d definitely recommend :

I love this place! Staff is super friendly and the food is good and priced good. They have great bread, quality ingredients and you can tell the fruit is fresh and cut up that day. It’s become one of my usual spots. I go at least once a week. My only complaint is that I wish it was open on the weekends so my hubby could try it.

Credit where it is due! The portions are great - easily will fill the most demanding & hungry stomach for under 10$. However, if you see going to a restaurant as an experience and not only a fuel for your body, you may be disappointed. The omelette was under seasoned, lacking fluffiness of a proper dish. Sorta slapped together with bunch of ingredients. The water isn't filtered but straight from the tap carrying a strong taste of chlorine. No WiFi, regardless of having the wireless network 'we don't give it to customers anymore' . The staff was great, but had zero interest in masks or basic PPE. Overall, it is a bag of mixed emotions but next time I may skip it and head somewhere else.

This is the best classic diner in Muskegon! The food is great every time and the servers are all good too. Even when they are short staffed and things take a bit longer I don’t mind because they keep my coffee cup full in the meantime and once the food is served it’s hot and fresh. I also appreciate the selection of hot sauces they have.

I’m convinced that I will never have a bad experience at Carmen’s. Their entire staff is so knowledgeable and friendly, the atmosphere is very welcoming, and their menu covers every base. Easily my favorite breakfast/lunch spot downtown!!

Great food, staff was friendly, and even though it was busy, the food was out quick. It was decently priced too. We'll definitely be back!

A lot of good here! Fast seating, attentive and friendly waitress, my coffee was never more than half empty, prices are fair, omelette was fantastic and decent sized portion, and the atmosphere was overall very friendly.
