This our third season here. The owners are fantastic, always willing to help if you need them. Mainly a seasonal park on Moira River. Quite friendly, relaxing location. Hoping to be able to stay here for years to come. Couldn’t ask for a better place. Very Reasonable rates for the season. The owners Anne and Allan are the greatest, if you are lucky enough to get into this park you will not regret it.
My husband and I bought our very first trailer last May 2022 and we have been looking for a seasonal site until we found Carlton Cove. We came to see the place and right away we said to ourselves 'this is the place' :. Anne and Allan are awesome owners as well as everyone else in the park, we are first timer but our neighbors made us feel so welcome and help us out in everything to get settled in. Everyone in the park is very friendly and always say Hi or wave at you when they pass by. The park has paddle boats and fishing boat to use anytime you want to go in the water to fish or just have a nice tour of the beautiful river. My husband and I caught our first catch a few weeks ago and it's just an amazing experience for me and him. We are the happiest in Carlton Cove and we are not going anywhere else. We are already looking forward for every summer here to make more wonderful memories with family and friends!:
This is a great park with really nice owners. If you follow the very few rules you will have a great season. Downside is that it is only seasonal, no tents or transient campers. That is good for us seasonal campers, but I've seen disappointed campers been turned away. Playground: Great for younger children. Dog-friendliness: Leash rule but dogs are welcome if well behaved. Picnic area: Picnic tables in front of the stage area where live bands and DJs are there every few weeks or so.
Great place for the whole family! Right on the edge of a beautiful slow-rolling river with paddle boats to enjoy. Every campsite had a place for a camp fire and the wood for the fire was readily accessible. The washroom was cute and nice with electricity and a pay-as-you-go shower. There were even some electrical hookups so my wife could blow dry her hair! There is a small playground and a huge well-kept grass field. The campsite staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our only complaint was the campsite pump water was not readily drinkable. We boiled the water and were fine using it in our oatmeal. Our kids want to make this a yearly place to visit even though it's a few hours drive for us to get there.
We needed a last minute campground and decided to call Carlton Cove. This is a small mom and pop operation and I have to admit it's best campground we have ever camped at. Very simple. No bells and whistles, but they have a nice warm lake. Campground for tent campers is basically pick a spot. The camp owners are absolutely lovely. Extremely nice people. It was such a pleasure to camp here. Absolutely recommend. One thing to note is the they have a very clean bathroom and shower. But there is only one.
One of my fav places to camp that is local... Extremely friendly and accommodating owners... went there for tent camping...stayed at a site right beside the water and then around the willow tree another time...what a great experience! The kids loved playing in the water all day and the use of the kayaks was really great! I will definitely be going back this year
This is our first year there and we think it’s very nice and relaxing and affordable. Not far for us to commute to work or home. The owners Ann and Alan are very nice and help anyway they can to make you comfortable while you are there and also George the maintenance man is very helpful . I would recommend this place to anyone. Actually l did and now 2 of my brothers are there to.
We were happy they had an opening. It isn't real well kept as there are several dilapidated bldg and the wash room, well we used our own small shower and bath. I'LL leave it at that. The dump station is a little difficult but durable although we didn't find a water tap for cleaning hose. So for a nice pretty trees and quiet place to park we were glad to be there. Not a destination place for us but very helpful as we needed electricity
My family and I were very surprised how great this place was. All we wanted was a place to pitch our tent, make smores by a campfire and enjoy some time outdoors outside of the city. Carlton Cove not only met those expectations but exceeded them..providing a fully functional and clean bathroom, Free usage of their canoes and paddleboats With life preservers as well as were quick to address any request. The staff was professional and polite in a family friendly way that made us feel very welcome and when we had to leave a day early due to weather they refunded us the day we weren't staying without me having to ask..Not only would I reccomend Carlton Cove, I'm gonna be returning with some friends for a well deserved night out...Thanks for the great visit you'll be hearing back from us soon!
Great place to stay while you are bike packing. Owners offered us use of fridge , freezer, and shelter if we needed it. Swam in the river, and enjoyed the nice welcome.
