Story

Caribbean Bliss provides delicious and healthy food for all your occasions. You can drop by our humble location and take a seat and enjoy or take-away. We also deliver-even to downtown Halifax for lunch any day of the week. Catering is also available.

Enjoy dishes such as our Jerk Chicken, Jamaican Patties, Mango-Pineapple juice along with decadent Coconut Cream pie and Mango Cheesecake. Everything is homemade and made in our kitchen!

Caribbean Bliss was recently called Caribbean Twist, but changed it's name and ownership in April 2014. Garnet Reid is the head chef and baker who came all the way from Jamaica to work at the Caribbean Bliss. She’s brings along her many years of culinary experience and invites you to try her food. You'll be hooked in no time!

We ordered Caribbean Bliss on Just Eat. It took over two hours for the food to arrive and the portions were hilariously small. The delivery lady was horribly rude and she caused a major kerfuffle when we asked her politely to ring the buzzer and enter through the side door. She said that the side door didn't exist and proceeded to walk down a different street for some reason. When my girlfriend tried explaining where it was, she yelled "YOU COME DOWN" and hung up on her. I couldn't speak because I had strep throat, but I was incredibly frustrated. We met her at the front door and she began telling us how much she hated her job. Okay! Now food. I've grown up with Caribbean food all my life. The goat curry was hands down good. It tasted like what my mom used to make. The Jamaican patties were not homemade. They were dry and from the box. The portions were WAY too small. The saltfish was watery, the plantain side wasn't even enough for a single person and they PUT NUTS IN THE FOOD! We specified that there was a nut allergy. This has only happened to me in Halifax. Once at Jeans and once at this place. Oh dear. After thoughtful consideration, this deserves a single star.

I would come over and over again one of the best restaurants in Halifax . I can't wait to taste thire food so highly recommend for real .

Great Caribbean takeout shop off the beaten path. The roti is delicious and the chef makes the dhalpuri fresh in house. Their lunch specials cannot be beat. For $5.99 - you can get a well seasoned, home cooked meal without breaking the bank. The service is always attentive, and the food is always fresh. After moving from Toronto, I've been searching for good Caribbean food and I am glad to have finally found a place in Metro.
