Care Boost Pharmacy #2

I am really annoyed at the service here.nDuring my first experience, the girls weren’t very knowledgeable and couldn’t indicate why I had to pay for a prescription mine are covered 100%. It was my first time requesting through them as I usually go to a location in Richmond. I paid. Whatever. It was for something I needed urgently.nnI called early this afternoon to request to transfer my prescription to Richmond since I’m staying here right now and I needed the script urgently again, provided the location and fax number, confirmed my PHN, DOB and other info. The girl said she’d fax my prescription over.nnMinutes later I get a call back from a gentleman telling me that the pharmacy I am requesting the transfer to needs to call them. This is super inconvenient. They are busy. I already made the request. If I knew this was gonna be the case, I would have saved myself the time and asked my pharmacy to request the transfer directly instead of calling Care Boost first.nnSo I called my other pharmacy but there’s no answer. I called 4 times. Again, I know how busy they are and this is an unnecessary extra step and a ton of hassle. So now this just means I can’t transfer the script and I can’t have the medication when I need it. I need it right now because I have symptoms right now.nnI’m not returning to Surrey for several hours so I can’t get it filled there.nnIt would have been easier if they honoured my request and faxed it over.nnI won’t be returning to this location.nnI should also add that they are extremely expensive. They’re charging $18.99 for tampons that cost $11.99 at a Shoppers or London Drugs. $12.99 for isopropyl alcohol. Their other items also have a substantial markup.

Had a relationship with this pharmacy for a long time and they do dangerous things for example cutting me off a very important medication while coverage was figured out while doctor was moving.

DR. Sunjit Singh Parmar was great listen to my concerns and was quick with diagnosis. Excellent service, very knowledgeable and caring. The pharmacist was great, she added my health benefits and prescription taken care of quickly and was very knowledgeable.
