Nice fresh snow. Rock candy trailhead is well marked but it stops before reaching the rock candy mountain. A hiker was kind enough to show us the way to the peak. Then while coming back we missed the trail to a long route. Be aware there will be lots of roads which will go nowhere. Have a good trail map from file.dnr.wa.gov

January 15, 2018 was a clear day. The trail had some traffic when we arrived around 1 pm. With plenty of parking. The trail was muddy in places but passable. Hiked to falls and back with in 3 hours. Fall was nice. Lots of horse poop in beginning of trail. Overall nice to have tried it once.

It's a great place to ride horses, bikes, and ATVs. They have different areas for ATV and shooting. There is also nice camping areas. And they have just upgraded the bathrooms. You will need a wildlife sticker.

The trails were closed to motorized vehicles, but we had a wonderful walk in the snow-covered trails. We only saw a couple other people and really enjoyed ourselves.
