Capital Taxi

Called this company to request a taxi to an address within Edmonton, about a 15 min drive from downtown, at 4pm on a weekday. I was told no, they didn't have a taxi in the area. I've never had that experience before...especially when in a reasonably central location in a city. I suppose I appreciate not having tho wait 45 min. as other reviewers have mentioned, but if the company doesn't have enough cabs to run their business perhaps they shouldn't be operating? Yellow Cab happily obliged and picked me up within 10 min instead.

Had a cab driver who wouldn't drive faster than 40 and the speed limit is 60. He would slow down with too much time in advance making sure to hit every red light. He was texting while driving and when we got to the destination he made a fuss about not paying with cash. while I waited for him to figure out his debit machine I realized he didn't stop the meter. And he stopped it once he stuck my card into the debit machine. I strongly do not recommend this cab service.

NEVER call this company. Use Co-op or Yellow cabs. This was 1 of my most aweful experiences as a cab user. I scheduled the night before to have their cab take me to the airport at 3am. Cab was on time, because I was leaving the country, I was about 10 mins late, I came out to tell the driver I would pay for making him wait. I got out 5 mins later with 2 luggage bags & I was alone in the streets, in the dark with no cab in sight. I called flabbergasted & called them back. They rudely asked me if I expected the cab to wait forever. I was shocked. I desperately asked them to send me a cab, they said No. It was freezing & I had tears in my eyes. I felt bullied. I had the money, I would have paid but they drove away from me & refused to send me a cab. I called Co-op Taxi, & they sent me a cab immediately. I told the driver what happened & he told me they were wrong. That even if I delayed, they would have understood it was a critical situation as it was a cab to the airport & I wouldn't wanna miss my flight. The Co-op driver was so nice. I got back to Canada after 2 weeks, called Capital Taxi for an explanation & the same rude guy picked up the phone to ask me, "But how long did you expect him to wait for you for?"... I hung up, deleted their number & never used them again. I now use Yellow cabs or Co-op taxi. If they go out of business today, they brought it on themselves with their Ill-mannered, crass business attitude.

Capital Taxi # 799 is a danger to the roads and people itself. When I left the the Nisku Cosco on Thursday night at around 6:30PM, the driver was right on my bumper and tailgated to no end. Then he takes the other lane and proceeds to go the airport. At the red light he is on the next vehicles bumper. When the light turns green he just drives way to fast and does not even use a signal light. When I had to stop at tthe red light he nearly rear ended me ! I have taken the info I needed and reported him to the city of edmonton and and the safety of passengers and others should come before anything else. I would highly recommend that this guy refrains from driving in this country period. We have laws here!

I've had only horrible experiences with this company. December the driver picked up the wrong person leaving me in the cold waiting. More then once I have waited for almost an hour for the cab to arrive. To where I call yellow cab that arrives in 10, considering the 4-5 cars I see idling at the mall close to where I am you would assume they would be able to quickly make it to my location

Asked this resteruant to call a taxi and they ended up calling this company usually we use co op but we didnt know they called this one so while we Waited for 45 minutes in the rain with two kids and my grandma who had to use a walker. After we waited even longer we finally called the taxi company didn't know it was a different company and the one that we just called only took 10 minutes then when we where going into the one taxi who was Co op..capital showed up so we where all in the taxi and this taxi driver is telling us we can't call two taxi company's it's a rule .. well maybe they should of showed up on time and we wouldnt of had to call another taxi even though we had no clue it was a different one because the restraunt called capital. So it was a big argument the guy from capital taxi was so rude he was like I don't care I don't care that we waited for 45 -50 min in the rain with two small kids !!!! Are you kidding me .. he should lose his Job over this the customer is always right!. I'll NEVER USE CAPITAL EVER AGAIN AND I'LL MAKE SURE NOONE DOES .my kids are my life and when you don't care that we waited that long for you to get there then you shouldn't be a taxi driver. I didn't get the taxi number but this guy was a bit bald with scars on his face and he was east indian but he also was a horrible human being. He is what's wrong with the world. and not to mention we where paying an extra 10 $ for a van taxi. I'm just so disspointed in this sad excuse for a taxi company if you can't do your job right don't do it at all. I'm sure there are way more people out there that would appreciate it and treat people /customers properly. If I could I wouldn't even give you 1 star!!!!!

I didn't take the services but On March 9th 2019 I witnessed cab 247 drive like an absolute mad man. Straddling lanes, uneven acceleration and sporadic breaking. The road conditions are still dicey around this time and I almost slammed into him even though I gave him almost 3 cars distance after seeing how he drove.

Driver in cab 340 was not curtious on the road. Sped up and slowed down so I couldn't change lanes after letting him onto the highway. Almost missed my exit. Go Uber

My wife and 20 month old daughter took a 5 minute ride and were charged $28. Which is absurd! Then when I gave him $30 and asked for change, he slammed the door on me without giving me my change. I give it one star because the website won't let you post without giving a star. Only for this it would ZERO Stars

Horrible cab service. The cab driver kicked my friend and I out of the cab for eating chips. He didn't even politely ask us not to eat in his cab, just yelled at us and proceeded to drop us off on the side of the road. I wouldn't recommend this cab service to anyone.
