Amazing new Chinese BBQ restaurant. I came to dine-in with my family and got their 5 signature dishes menu which included: - House Special BBQ Platter Roast Pork, BBQ Duck, Char Siu and Soy Sauce Chicken - White Pepper Pork Tripe Soup - Lobster with Sticky Rice - Baked Codfish in Yuzu Mustard Sauce - Baked Beef Rib Their BBQ is all done very authentically. Roast pork is super crispy with a good mix of fat and meat. The skin on the BBQ duck is crisp and flavourful as well. If you've had their BBQ meat from the same restaurant in Richmond then you will know what to expect here, very high quality and delicious meats. Being a Chinese seafood restaurant as well, you can expect to order your traditional Chinese cuisine from here. What they also have sprinkled in are some slight fusion dishes that you will not find commonly elsewhere such as the baked codfish with yuzu mustard sauce and the baked beef rib. Their seafood is very fresh both the lobster and codfish and the beef rib is so amazingly tender. Definitely would recommend both those dishes. Overall very happy a new BBQ restaurant of this quality opened up in the neighbourhood. Service is very fast and friendly as well. Even though it's their first days of opening, they already have line-ups for take-out BBQ. Will definitely come back more often and recommend this place to all who are in the area to check it out.
Found this little gem just across from one of our go to spots on Kingsway. We ordered bbq roast pork, deep fried tofu, fried rice and a side of Chinese broccoli. The table menu, take out counter menu and the delicious crunchy roast pork was very similar to HK BBQ Master in Richmond. As it turns out, it is owned by the same person, mentioned by our server. So if you don’t want to line up and wait for a table or do take out at HK BBQ Master this the place for you.
Tables are packed in pretty tight. Very little sense of privacy or social distancing. Food is good, with the BBQ meats being the best 9/10. Also tried the beef rice roll, which was fresh 7, bitter melon and beef on rice 7. Service good, friendly.
Newly opened Cantonese BBQ restaurant on Kingsway busy Joyce area. Limited parkings. Busy and central location. Food was good. Came out quickly and hot. BBQ pork was very tasty and juicy. Yet very crunchy skin. We ordered double items plate. Half duck half BBQ pork. Duck was good too. Deep fried squid wasn't as crunchy as it should be. Beef green beans was heavily sauced and load of black beans. Over powering the whole dish. Lastly, eggplant tofu scallops. Good amount of scallops and tasted fresh. Tofu was freshly deep fried before cooking into pot. Very few eggplant. Tasted a bit too sweet than savory. Overall a little bit too salty. I will ask for less salt next visit. Service was good and fast. They were very busy. Yet they were able to take care of the basic needs. Polite and friendly. Overall, it is a great addition for this area for Cantonese cuisine. We have enough hot pot or skewers restaurants in this area.
A newish Cantonese BBQ restaurant in the area. Was hoping to grab a quick takeout but ended up waiting more than half an hour for a simple veggie dish. It was winter solstice a big celebration for Chinese and the restaurant was super busy with lots of takeout, and they were a bit out of control. Saw them missing orders and giving orders to the wrong person. Got the two BBQ items with rice and veggie with oyster sauce. Food was good but I think I will avoid going back until they iron things out.
The place is too crowded and the service is slow. The bbq pork and the roasted pork is too dry. The curry is a bit spicy but I like it. The halibut is a little bit salty but they have the onion to balance it. Overall experience is not that good but I will give them another chance as they are just grand opening, will be back in a few months.
Bought take out from here. Place was busy and plenty of take out orders. Soy sauce chicken was a bit bland probably the soy sauce to marinate the chicken needs to be rejuvenated with fresh ingredients. BBQ duck was OK…maybe a few more minutes roasting would be better.
Super busy, often long line up. So popular, they ran out of most BBQ meats by 7pm. Understandably, the roast bbq pork was the best. There are vegetarian options, also very tasty. Downside: packed, long wait for food and service. Hard to find parking.
Popped by to pick up some last minute dinner meat. Been meaning to check out, finally tried out. The "half day and half skinny" Char Siu aka BBQ PORK cut was hands down the best I've had in a long time. Better than Chinatown dollar meats, TnT, and Richmond Master Hung. I'd for back to try other items. The pic below shows Half of our 1lb $12.95/lb. The lady who served had an attitude/arrogance but the BBQ master was nice.
I never write reviews, however I came here for the first time and was very disappointed. Restaurant was empty and I was the first people to get seated for dine-in during lunch. Ordered BBQ pork and seafood fried rice. I only ordered 2 dishes. I got the BBQ pork and it tasted okay, but although being the first one seated I waited almost 45 minutes for the seafood fried rice and watched others who came after me get all their dishes first. Had to walk to the server at the front about my missing dish and they told me they forgot. Overall food tasted okay, but there are other places like this around here that do it better and have better service. Probably won't come back.
