Cantine De La Gare

This was a wonderful surprise when we were at Rimouski. We were looking for a "midnight" snack and found this treasure of small shack restaurant. They've repurposed a little train station and made into a cozy little dinner. Too bad it's so far away from where we live. If you are in Rimouski, you have to stop there at least once. You won't regret it.

Poutine is good but service can be slow. Not as generous as they once was.

it was ok, the sauce is slightly to salty and the veggies werent that great . meat was decent. portions are small.. a medium is a small for example I'm comparing with a bunch of poutine place from Montreal and Drummondville ... not worth a 5 star here , solid 3 ,

Popular place that you need to go to at least once. The french fry is really a gamble depending on the time you go, it's either good/fresh or they are soft/old Still overall 5/5

Cheese curds were good, gravy was ok. Fries tasted stale, burnt, and like they'd been cooked in old oil. Quite an unpleasant poutine.

Keeping in mind that it is a fast food service, it hit the spot perfectly with a vast menue. Their poutine is very good!

Amazing poutine place. Really famous with the locals. A lot of different options for poutine with big servings that will definitely fill you up.
