Beautiful place, the only knock I have is that it was super warm. Food was delicious and the calamari was one of the best I've had in the city. Very tender and the seasoning was spot on and the sauce wasn't overpowering the taste of the calamari. Pasta had that homemade feel and the two that we tried were not heavy that you felt uncomfortable. We asked our server a recommendations on wine and they gave us a beautiful bottle of orange and it went perfectly for our date night. 10/10 date spot for ottawa but make sure you get a reservation.

Booked a reservation for a birthday party for 8 or 9 people. Response from the restaurant was very quick and we were able to get everything squared away. Considering we had a large loud party the service was good. The food was AMAZING. The atmosphere was so cozy and authentic we all really enjoyed ourselves. Plus the bathrooms are all pink, super cute and Instagrammable.

Amazing home-made pasta!!! Tiramisu might not be our favorite, but we will definitely come back for the pasta. We had a great experience dining here. There’s a little space that you can shop for wine and other goods.

Ate here for the first time for a delicious brunch meal after following them on Instagram for a few months. It was worth the wait but I wish we went way sooner! We know we will be back to try out their dinner menu soon. Food was delicious, the tempo of the meal was relaxed but not slow by any means. Had the ricotta and fruit toast, crespelles and eggs Benny. The atmosphere is excellent and we gushed over the decor the whole time we sat and ate! I even loved the bathroom fixtures! What a beautiful spot. Can’t wait to be “regulars”.

Cantina gia has great food, service and event planning location! The long table and the vintage Italian style decor is perfect for our small wedding! Also, the manager really helped us to plan the menu and drinks! Highly recommend!

Had brunch and everything was tasty. The waitress was amazing and everything came out super fast. She kept bringing us more new sharing plates and cutlery. The pancakes were sooooo good!!!!! Highly recommend!!

I came recently for brunch and was blown away by the dishes I tried, as well as their beautifully decorated interiors. . Here are the dishes in these photos: . Eggs Benedict $19: Poached eggs on house roasted porchette with hollandaise & crackling. Served with rosemary potatoes & greens. This was the star of the show! Just look at the healthy portion of hollandaise!!! This was seriously decadent, and my favourite was actually the CRAZY crispy rosemary potatoes . I love that they were served on a separate plate, and were big chunks. If you go, you HAVE to get these. I would order them on their own! . Burrata & Zucchini Sandwich $12: Fresh buratta, thinly sliced zucchini, heaps of basil and pomodoro sauce on a house-made Tuscan Focaccia. I don't normally choose vegetarian dishes, but LOVE buratta and all cheese, really, so I was curious about this sandwich. It had great flavour, and it was moist with the tomato -based sauce and creamy burrata. Very hearty, and I would recommend to eat it on the spot no leftovers! so that the bread doesn't get soggy - but I’m sure you’d finish it in one go anyways . I sat at the bar, and just loved how pretty the interiors are. While I was waiting for the food, I took a peek at their Wine shop, which was beautifully organized - they have a huge collection! The plates were all unique and ornate as well - it makes the food taste better to me!

We had a lovely time at Cantina Gia! If you are an interior design lover like me, you will love the mood of the place! The owners did a great job with the concept! Food: I loved the Gigi cocktail! Il tasted like pure grapefruit it was amazing! The main food left us a little dissapointed though. Flavours were a bit off balance, and the meat was a bit rough. We are still willing to try other plates next time!

Delicious food and drinks. They have a limited menu but everything on it is very well made. And it is moderately priced with large enough portions. Also the decor and ambiance is very nice.

My husband and I loved sitting at the bar for lunch time service. The atmosphere is very unique and food is yummy. We enjoyed a negroni on tap, a glass of Prosecco, Cesar salad, cacio e pepe & eggplant parm sandwich. We will be back!
