Soooo after reading the bad reviews, I was a bit skeptical of this place. People gotta relax and have some fun. Drinks were awesome, music was awesome, food was on spot with the pricing. I thought the cost was to cheap actually. Should of been at least $10 to $15 more for the 3 course meal. The wait for the food was a bit long, but considering it was a dinner and show night.........it was reasonable because we were their to have fun for the 5 hr ordeal. Adam our waiter, a bit on the not so experience side, but I can see he was trying hard and sweating. We give you a pass. Christopher was very accommodating on the air vent issue. Perfect MacGyver move. Good music Good people Good company Good night
I have no idea how this restaurant has 4.5/5 review. My food was absolutely terrible. I assumed this place was a higher end Italian restaurant, I therefore expected Neapolitan style pizzas. Instead what I got was Canadian style pizza. Ok not a huge deal….. but the pizza was just terrible, the pizza at the Costco canteen tasted better. The dough was clearly frozen, it tasted like cardboard. They also cooked the pizza in a non traditional low heat oven which just melted the cheese in one hard clump that was hard to bite through. The sauce was also way too watery and there was a puddle of water in my plate. I seriously have a hard time understanding how a restaurant could lower their standards this low….. I’m definitely not coming back. The service was good and staff were nice. But clearly the owner is trying to cut corners by freezing everything, either that or the chef has no clue what they are doing.
We went for the mother's day brunch and were unfortunately left wanting. 2 bright spots: 1 we had the vegetarian meal and the owners accommodated our request to substitute the eggs on the menu and 2 our party left feeling full. Otherwise, the food, including presentation, and service were not worth the price. Live music is always a bonus in my books, though!
Have had great experiences at Marzitelli for both brunch and dinner. At brunch we were served fresh complimentary muffins with our coffee. Dinner is casual fine dining with fresh cutlery at each course. The Magic Mushrooms and Caprese are great. Their prices are hard to beat and the atmosphere is cozy
What a great experience at Marzitelli’s! Great place to unwind enjoy have a few drinks, live band, laughter, fun, dancing and not to mention star authentic Italian cooking! My go to place! Thanks to the entire team of Marzitelli’s!
It is so wonderful to finally have a restaurant with ambience back in Ottawa. We had the Table de hote accompanied by live jazz. The family owned restaurant/club was personal. The wife was bartender and the husband was the chef. You can't go wrong with that. Thank you for such a delicious and lovely evening. Will definitely be back :
First time at this restaurant and food was delicious.The ambience was great and our waiter Adam was very friendly and recommended a great bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal. My steak meal was to die for!!! It was a wonderful experience and we will recommend to friends.
Hosted our team Christmas party here and had a great time. The owner, bartender and our dedicated server took tremendous care of us. The 3 course meal was delicious, the live music was entertaining and the ambience was everything we were looking for! Thanks for the awesome evening and for truly giving us a 5 star experience! We’ll be back!
My friend & I wandered into this restaurant after trying about 5 others that had waiting lists. And we’re so happy they did, because this was the best pasta I’ve tasted outside of Italy. We each had Fettuccine Alfredo and it was amazing. The staff were super nice, the music not too loud, and the entire atmosphere pleasant. We even got to meet the chef and tell him personally how our dinner “tasted like Rome”. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
Recommended. Great food, lovely atmosphere, and reasonable prices. You can tell the owner and staff have a passion for what they do. The food is very tasty, and they really make you feel welcome. Hidden patio on the balcony was amazing. Missed the live music, so need to hit up this restaurant again next time we are in Ottawa.
