This review mirrors much of what others seem to have already mentioned in their previous reviews, which is clear that the management of this store has no desire to fix the issues that reviewers have already mentioned. This store rarely has what I'm looking for, even if it displays in stock online, the item can never be found in the store, even with staff assistance...that is if you can find staff to help you. When an item is out of stock, I've checked back for months before the item was restocked again. There is usually only one or if you're lucky maybe two people on cash to check out and I've waited in the line for over 20 minutes one day while I watched frustrated folks in front of me drop their items on the shelves near the line, or abandon their carts entirely and leave. It is very unorganized and cramped in the store almost like the store is too small for everything that Canadian Tire carries nowadays. Unfortunately, even though this location is the closest and most convenient location for me, I've chosen to make the trip to either Sherwood Park or Manning instead of wasting my time in this store.
The employees I’ve run into have been very helpful. Customer Service is great and very knowledgeable. They usually have a great selection of items not as much as the bigger stores and they offer great sales. I think the worst part is the wait time at the automotive desk.
Unfortunately this the worst Canadian Tire I have been in ever. I usually go to Sherwood Park location instead. This store rarely has what you want. Most of the time selection is bad and things on the shelves aren’t in the right spot. So be careful shopping sale items. Staff is really unhelpful and rude, the odd person is helpful. I find it very frustrating to ask for help and most staff have no clue and try to pass you off to someone else. The store is always a mess and never neat and tidy. I suggest the 10 minute drive to the Sherwood Park store instead! You’ll be pleasantly surprised
Amazing service from the automotive department!!!nRocky was sincere and went the extra mile when my Father's Jeep had a water pump failure in the parking lot. He looked at it right away, the parts desk were honest and helpful, they ordered the part right away. 48 hours later it was ready for pick up. Rocky also gave me a ride home with my groceries.nWhat a gem!! I hope management recognize his commitment to service oriented and a very kind person :nCorinne
I would not recommend the automotive department at this Canadian Tire. In fact, I would encourage you to go to Sherwood Park Canadian Tire only 20 km away and cheaper. I noticed a discrepancy on a recent tire purchase where they charged $34.95 per tire for “tire balancing”. We purchased 4 new tires about a week and a half ago where they charged $19.99 per tire for “wheel balancing”. I tried to explain there is an issue and the store manager spent 5 minutes trying to explain the difference between tire balancing and wheel balancing there is no difference before one of her own techs had to step in and tell her it is the same thing. She then admits she knows nothing about working on vehicles, among other things. The price paid for services seems to be very arbitrary depending on who is operating the till that day. Employees in the parts area are extremely rude and would benefit from learning how to speak with customers. Outside of the automotive department I’ve had great experiences. Won’t be going back.
