I bought a pressure washer from this Canadian Tire and picked up by myself last Friday. After the open box, I realized that has been used for a long time. The handle, the power cord and half of the accessories are almost damaged. And just be clear myself, it is NOT even a refurbished one. And they did not even tried to clean it. And they sale it as a new product. And according to the condition of the scale at the water inlet, you can tell it is not a short term use. My last pressure washer appears the scale like this after half year use. I tried to contact them through the email, but no one responded after two days. So I came to the store. Ask for a solution. And the employee and manger only said sorry. That’s ALL what they did. Great Job. What a great store and employees. Crazy experience. Terrible store. One star is the lowest rate level. But I would love to rate lower even more.
I went online yesterday to book my car for a safety inspection the same day as there were slots open. I chose the time that was available. Moments later I got a text confirming my appointment. I arrive early for my appointment and go talk to the person at the counter and tells him I made the booking online. His reply “If you just made it today it won’t show up in our system”. I show him the text message I got and he looks into the system. He says it’s not here. Good thing I was looking at the monitor too as I see my name. I point out my name and he sees it.n“Oh, but I’ve blocked this slot and we can’t do the safety because I’m short of manpower. I can book you for Friday instead.” I explained that I can’t and today was the only day I could do it.nHe says “don’t book online, instead call us.”nFirst thing - why would you have that booking tool online if it won’t work?nSecond - I should have been contacted saying the work can’t be done instead of wasting my time going there for nothing.nCanadian Tire customer service has really gone down the drain.
My sister needed to swap her winter tires last minute, so on a hail mary we called the Auto Dept on a busy weekend morning not expecting them to be able to help us, and they told us to bring it in/ that they’d do their best.nnKeyshawn at auto customer service was unbelievably helpful, friendly, and communicative, and thanks to his professionalism and drive, we ended up getting the service done by the end of the day! If his manager sees this, please give this guy a promotion/raise/at least a day off!
UPDATE. I was there yesterday afternoon and there were at least 50 people waiting in the checkout line!!! There were 2 cashiers. We waited for 5 minutes but the line didn't move and no more cashiers came so we put our items down and left. We took our money to Home Depot instead. I don't know what the problem was, but Canadian Tire lost a $300 sale from us that day, and probably countless others. The photo only shows the line-up in front of me. When I left, the line was just as long behind me.nnThis was my first time doing curbside pick-up. I thought it was supposed to be fast and easy - not! I looked for the section of empty parking spaces to find the designated curbside parking and there were none so I thought maybe they didn't have them anymore. I drove until I found the nearest parking spot to the door. I then followed the instructions letting them know I was there. Then others.what curbside pick-up spot I'm in. So I drive back around the lot again and find the signs for curbside p/u...all spots are taken with no drivers inside the cars waiting for their orders. So I park nearby and wait. I finally get a curbside p/u spot and tell the store which spot I'm in. I wait and then find out that I now have to drive around to the back for my pick-up. Why didn't my initial email say that then since they knew I was ordering something large??? Then their buzzer at the back loading dock doesn't work so I have to phone the store and wait on hold. The guy at the back finally comes and verifies me. Then the 2nd guy he has asked to help him lift it wants me to move the car nearer - it was only about 10 ft. away. So I finally completed got my order in my car 40 minutes after I arrived and after having to start my car and move it 5 times - that's not pennies with the cost of gas nowadays! Plus the extra time made me late for my next appointment. Not only that, with the big fuss about moving my car closer I was under the impression that it was very heavy - not so! Two small women were able to unload it easily, take it up the stairs and get it in the house. Not sure I would order a large item from them for curbside p/u again.
I’d like to share my wonderful experience during a recent tire retorque. The technician, Charlie Choy, was not only thorough in ensuring every lug nut was properly secured, but he also went the extra mile with kindness and professionalism. He advised me that I should consider replacing my tires next year, which I appreciated.nnWhen I noticed the passenger airbag indicator was off, I asked Charlie about it. He patiently checked and resolved the issue on the spot, saving me what could have been half a day lining up at a dealership.nnThis has been, by far, the most pleasant and helpful car service experience I’ve ever had. Thank you, Charlie!
