Worst Bank, Holds payments for no reason. Sets my credit limit ot 0 just because I have made a payment that was almost the same amount as of my credit limit. Being a bank, it does not talk directly to the other banks to clear out the payment. Instead they want you to be messenger spend your valuable 1-2 hrs time bouncing between the two banks.
Not even BBB accredited as of posting this. Multiple calls a day from a caller id showing * and no voicemails to identify who is calling. It was only once my phone bill came in that I could see the number. With no caller id and no voice mail left I had no idea who was calling multiple times a day and that is harassment. After reading on multiple sites how horrible they are, including the BBB, I have to agree with the majority of the reviewers. DO NOT USE THEM!
So I received my Credit Card and I activated it. Tried to take cash before I make my first purchase but the card got blocked. I call them and they say we cant help you because the security agent is not working now. I wait unitl the second day and call back. They asked me so many questions about my personal information and I answered them. They even asked me about where I was living 10 years ago. And then the agent tells me to wait on the phone. I waited 28 minutes on the phone just to tell me we have to do further review. What kind of customer service is this ? I never waited 28 mins just to reactivate a credit card and got asked so many questions and at the end of the call I have to wait until they finish their review. For what? For 2k limit? While I am writing this review I got called by canadain tire bank because they wanted to speak with me because when i ended the 28 minutes call I told them to cancel the credit card because I am already having bad experience and long delays to reactivate my Mastercard. Guess what? They called me to confirm the cancellation of the credit card instead of apologizing and solving the issue. I already have credit cards with high limits but I applied for their trangile credit card because a friend of mine told me the have good offers. But looks they have good offers with bad customer service. The staff were nice but what's the point if my main issue is not resolved or taking long time to be solved.
Ridiculous customer service. Had to wait 30 minutes 2 times to talk to someone and still they are not able to solve your issues. They just put you on hold without saying anything, talk to GHOST supervisor and just come back with sorry. I CLOSED THE ACCOUNT RIGHT AWAY. I recommend everyone to stay away from this worst financial company call themselves Canadian BANK. Not a single offer that is useful to shop in Canadian Tire stores and even worst customer service over phone. Seriously 30 minutes hold time and you just put your bad customer service on COVID? Can't believe how this kind of financial institute is still open but not too long. After looking at this kind of customer service, I'm sure they're verge on closing their THIEF SHOP.
I received a balance transfer offer, I called them and they don’t have any of the cards I have available to pay. Amex or capital one don’t work. What’s the point of offering a balance transfer when you don’t have half they credit card companies available
Ya, I'm poor, bottom rung of society, but I have more than enough money to pay for payments on one of their cards, but because I'm poor which also means low credit they won't give me anything! Cute how that works eh? Can't climb out of the low credit hole if no one will give you credit! Anyway, if you're down near the bottom of society, don't expect any help from these people! And if you're rich, expect them to juggle your junk for you, you know, they'll give it a good lil tickle for ya
Definitely has no sympathy and does not care about how loyal of a customer you've been! I lost my job in November 2020 and had an outstanding balance of $9000+. I worked so hard in the following months to pay it off and managed to do so beginning of January by selling my car. However, I still got charged interest on my balance. The representative said they couldn't do anything about it, even though I had been a good customer for over two years, always paid my bills on time and made big purchases on the card.
If you are looking to have a credit card that is constantly on hold, yet still being charged interest and fees this is most definitely the place to be. From a maze of customer service phone calls, to emails and anything you could imagine they will make sure you can't do anything with your account other than pay it and screw yourself until you can use it for about 5 days every month. This is a joke of a bank that utilizes and abuses those who decide to bank with them. Not only do they use people with low credit scores to generate larger income margins because of fees and interest but they love to watch you run around like an ant under a magnifying glass so in the end you have no option other than to cancel your card and find somewhere even a percentage of a bit better.
Thanks for wasting my 2 month Canadian tire bank. after my first review, i heard back from the customer experience service. as i got email for verification thorough online and i did it. but now once i call you guys you are saying my application get expired i have to do it again. So no liabilities. So first i wasted my time by applying then went to store for verification which they did not inform the bank and now i did it through online but no one is responsible to process this application. Wonderful service.
too bad Google doesn't allow 0-Star reviews because this would be a perfect scenario for it. I received an email today from CTFS that they have noticed that my credit card hadn't been used for a few months last used Nov 2020 and are now pressuring me to use it or they would close my account within the next 60 days. In the same email they write how they value me as a customer. Umm...really? Forcing a customer to "use it or lose it" has nothing to do with customer appreciation. To essentially penalize my decision to not incur debt during a pandemic and to curb my spending is rather disturbing to say the least. On the flip-side I am thankful that they wrote this email as it fully opened my eyes whom I should do business with in future. I am happy to announce, that THEY did not make that list and I am even happier to announce that I closed my account! @CTFS...Good luck with that new business model of yours. Your former customer.
