Super family friendly; a no 420 on campgrounds rule, and min alcohol tolerance policy. That said most of the camping lots had way too many rocks and stones. Hard to set up a tent like that, and definitely do not recommend doing some bare floor sleeping. Bring mattress or something. But it’s beautiful, has nice hiking trails, staff is wonderful, the kids playground is well loved by the kids.
Been coming here for 3-4 years now and this time I experienced some of the worst customer service experience. Over-policing at night resulting in lights waking us up and a general feeling that something is going wrong. We made a mistake by parking the cars out of the bounds. Unfortunately we did not understand that at first and could not see the limits because it's dark. Upon requesting additional information 3 times from the attendant, he kept on repeating that the cars have to go. Then tone was very condescending and aggressive. Contrary to his attitude, we were allowed to park there. He just had to ask us to back up the vehicles a little more. There is an 8km/hr limit to drive to the parking spots. I walk at 5kmh. My car's slowest speed is 10-15kmh. In a span 25 seconds I was told to slow down. Impractical and unrealistic. Then when I went to lodge official feedback the next morning, the parking attendant wrote nothing, refer us to no one, refused to give us the contact info to the director. How can we properly explain ourselves and ask for improvements if no one wants to listen? This was a very confusing and frustrating experience. Bad leadership and arrogant personnel. This is not the way you want to spend the weekend with your friends. I'm not inclined to go there again.
It is a very relaxing atmosphere, what are you truly looking for when you go camping? This campsite offers you exactly that! You have the option of glamping or camping lol. We did somewhat of glamping by renting the cabin. The cabin was clean and came with more than we expected. Literally like the website mentions just bring your necessities, blankets, pillows and food, the rest is provided for you! I would say maximum three adults can fit comfortably and the rest of the set up is very kid friendly! Customer service was impeccable, from their response time, to arrival and departure. Thank you for a great experience!
If you are looking for a quiet weekend in the woods this is it. I have never been here before and really didn't know what to expect. The cabin was cute and cozy. It had this warm feeling to it. Cabin was clean when we arrived. The only real drawback is there's nothing around. You can go for a walk in the woods but going to a corner store involves a car and a little journey. It would have been nice to have a radio or some type of background noise. I would recommend bringing your phone or tablet. No wifi however no issues getting cellular service. Looking forward to another relaxing weekend at cabins in the near future.
The setting of the campground is great, in the woods, with an extensive network of hiking and cycling trails. Campsites are just okay because a little close to each other but the main issue, BIG TIME, is the constant noise from the nearby road. No way to feel in contact with Nature in such an environment. We will never come back.Rooms: 2/5
Stayed here for one night. Service was great. Campsite was a decent size. There's also a pool not far away at the Morin Heights ski chalet. Limit of 1 car per campsite so you'd need to park additional cars at the entrance.
Super expensive for a zero-activity stay too close to the highway. We were told at reservation that a 15amp service was more than enough, but had the main breaker trip twice, one time at 23h with nobody to answer their main phone nor any message pointing to an out of hours alternative. We were later shown to the emergency number at trash disposal sites, that we don't go until we check out, and on the site map, that we didn't need other than for getting to our site. There are a number of better places to go that are way less expensive.
Very bad. Too expensive for what is offered. the campsites are too small and too close to each other, no privacy. Too close to the highway, traffic is heard all the time, too noisy. Bathrooms ok, but old. No privacy, the men's entrance door is next to a campsite. When the door is open the urinals are visible since the campsite beside.
Great campground nested in the woods by a creek and next to a great bike and hiking path. Close to Morin heights where there is a pool and mini golf for the guests. Service is very good. The sites are secluded and not commercial. They also rent cabins. You can also get a discount on the waterpark which is a 20 minute drive from here. No store on site other than wood and ice so bring your foods and beverages.
Nice enough cabins with all the basics covered. Cabins could use some maintenance but nothing serious. My biggest complaint is that the cabins are practically on top of each other. Not private at all - felt like camping in a subdivision cabins around 15-20 feet from eachother. Crouded to the point that I couldn't play catch with my kids outside our cabin due to the cars parked on the gravel road.
