Went to the winter festival with family and friends. The place has a good vibe, enjoyed the fire pits and lake skating. It was a cold day so not too many people came, but was a beautiful day and we stayed warm.
Great place for a retreat. Clean beautiful scenery the staff were friendly and very helpful and when the coffee station was open Mathew was super to chat with and very affordable with top notch quality. Thank you for the great experience. Please who ever it is that reads this pass along a thank you from Scotty from Scottys Burger Shack to Mathew for all his service. God bless you folks
It was a great place for a large group to get together. Most activities weren't available during a weekend which is when our reunion was happening but the variety of accommodations was great. Would go again.
Love, love, love camp Nakamun! Such a beautiful place with lots of space and different activities to enjoy. I stayed in one of the cabins there, it was beautiful and it felt like home. I am giving it four stars only because the beds and furniture are not comfortable. I have gone to this camp a few times before, but the older I get, the less forgiving my body becomes. Despite the furniture, I'm sure I will go again.
Have been their 3 times with our ladies retreat, the cabins are the best! They have the most comfortable beds & two individual rooms per cabin, the Heritage building is nice but has the worst beds, & the main building is the middle ground for beds. Other than that, the playground is awesome, food is pretty good & staff is awesome. Human foosball is great, the zipline & rock wall look great, never been on it, walking trails could be longer, but if you're looking for a nice stroll it's good. Views out the main windows is amazing! Pool was a little cold last time & hot tub was a little too hot, pool balls were all flat. Gym has very slippery floors not ideal for a gym, & volleyball balls are shredded so a little painful over all super clean friendly place just little improvements‍
Had a great time. Food was good, staff was friendly. Each room had its own bathroom which was nice. However there are definitely improvements that could be made. The biggest downside was that the main lodge where we stayed was not wheelchair accomodating. Lots of steps and no elevator. The bathrooms in the bedrooms were not wheelchair accessible. The zipline was fun but the harnesses pinched horribly. Had a nice gym with volleyball net but no volleyball. Ping pong tables but no ping pong balls. Foosball tables but no balls for that either. Just be prepared to bring everything I guess. On the other hand, the swimming pool was well supplied with beach balls, a floating mat, etc. Nice hot tub as well.
These people are extremely well organized. It is worth every penny. My granddaughter went there for a week to learn about horse's. She met new friends and had a blast. I really appreciate how well she was treated. I highly recommend this experience for any child. They have meny more programs out there that maybe of interest to your kids.
Camp Nakamun is an amazing camp. My older kids went there for years - my daughter loved the horses and my son loved the games and one year he did the backpacking camp and loved that. We have gone to family camp a few times and it was so fun. And now my younger kids are off to kid's camp for the first time - they will love it!!
The facilities were very nice an clean. Every room had a fan!!
Great place to camp! They were very accommodating for us. The campsite was clean and everything was nicely maintained. It was too cold to go in the water but it looks like there is lots of activities available in the summer. Will definitely return.
