Calgary Hot Yoga opened it’s doors January of 2001. Since then we have been helping Calgarians to heal, challenge and strengthen their bodies.
Our bodies are built to work hard. In fact they crave it! Unfortunately they do not get that opportunity in our day-to-day lives. When you come into a class at Calgary Hot Yoga, we are going to challenge your body. Each yoga class will push your body to it’s limits at the same time healing, cleansing and strengthen you throughout.
A common comment from new yogis after class is “that was pretty intense” and it is. Do not worry! Classes will get easier as the poses become more familiar, the body opens and gets stronger. You will be amazed what your body can do.
Have we made you nervous? Don’t be! Yes the classes at Calgary Hot Yoga will challenge you, but they will challenge you at your own level! There is always a modification, there is always a way to do every pose in a way that is safe for your body, allowing you to gain all the benefits.
The first step is getting used to the heat. Our room is heated to 105F or 40C and 40-50% humidity. You will sweat! As the body gets used to the climate, the heat allows the body to loosen up and go deep into joints and muscles while providing and incredible detox.
