Cafe Gentile Westmount

I’ve been to this Cafe Gentile couple of times now, and never been disappointed. At lunchtime, patience might be required to get a table, but it’s all worth it. In a rush? Ask if there’s room on the pizzeria side as good! Our waiter was funny and on the ball with our orders and water refill. We had a shared parmigiana eggplants as appetizer, and took the pasta of the day which were made with ragout!!! Wow, both were soooo tasteful! Til next time, again. Thank you for all the flavors and good service.

I’ve been to Gentile many time as I love this place but this time I got a bit disappointed as I would’ve want to see more fresh goat cheese in that salad instead of searching for the bits. The fries were way too salty so barely touched the plate. The coffee as usual was super good and the cannoli is the best I ate so far here

I'll give the restaurant/cafe 5 star, in general, not only because of their delicious food but also because of their attitude and customer service. _ I ordered fish from one of their meals of the day, yet it didn't go with my taste. Nothing wrong with the food, just not my type So, I asked for a different dish to be added to my bill of course, but they generously replaced my plate with fried veal and stuffed cheese, which was amazingly tasty. I would recommend this Cafe, moreover check marked as my weekly lunch spot.

We know the original Gentile cafe in Chabanel area and keep following them to this new location. Love love love their breakfast/brunch/lunch menu. You have to try their Italian coffee of course and their famous iced tea my favorite. They have the Famous Chicken cutlet sandwich or wrap that I love and always come back for it. Salad choice is nice, and we love the pasta, specially Rose pasta. The food, drink and gelato always good here. The owners, staff always nice and welcoming. Always feel nice to come back.

Good sandwiches and great ambiance. Friendly staff we order the chicken cutlet and grilled chicken, was good and hit the spot. If you’re around you definitely have to try!

Great restaurant! Good food, great ambiance and very friendly staff. Tried the artichoke and the fig crostinis, both were delicious. Enjoyed their caccio e peppe pasta as well! Their sandwiches during the day are something not to miss either!! Still need to try their brunch!!

Delicious food, big portions and cheap prices, what’s not to love! Our waitress was very kind and helpful too. We ordered the bocconcini sandwich with sides of rosé pasta that I highly recommend, mixed greens salad and fries. Will definitely be going back to try the other dishes on the menu!

This is one of my favourite restaurants/ cafe of all time. The staff is always very attentive even during the rush. If you have time to stick around on the terrace with a nice coffee or there famous ice tea I highly recommend you try that this summer

I truly love this place but today I was disappointed! I always go there when I have a business lunch or when I meet friends! The salads are great and the people are nice! But today OMG!! I ordered the Gentile salad with grilled chicken! The chicken was not cooked! It was still a little bit pink!! I asked that they cooked it more! When I got it back I started to eat but my iceberg salad was not fresh there was many brown colour salad! I would never eat like this at home even if I really don’t like to throw food away! So I finally did not eat my salad! I would have thought that they would make me pay half the price or maybe not charge me as I come often!! I used to own a boutique hotel in France I would have never charged a costumer if this had happened!! I’m quite sad because I really love this place and I didn’t like how they made me feel!! It was a bad customer experience!! I hope that next time it will be better!!!

Although only open for a few years, the trendy Italian bistro has the feel of a local institution. Nominally a café during the day serving all manners of Italian coffees, it turns into a happening and bustling restaurant in the evening, populated by both young and old. The menu is innovative and the food is very tasty but it is all on the pricier side considering its mostly pasta. Specially call out to DANNY our server...who was friendly, informative; always available but never in your face. Enjoy! Parking: Parking on Ste Catherine West in Westmount for dinner is always a challenge if after 6:30pm. However there is an underground lot in Westmount Square and a public lot on Dorchester south of the restaurant.
